  1. Yikes… Have a good gulp. lol.

Robin Hood had it right. Take from the rich and give to the poor. Yep, GOP is doing the opposite and they are winning. sigh…

  2. posted to Care2 at http://www.care2.com/news/member/101612212/3921797

Cartoon – Oddly enough, that's exactly what the Sheriff of Nottingham said.  King John also.  (Wouldn't W make a convincing King John, with Darth Cheney as the Sheriff?  And Rummy as Guy of Gisborne?)

  3. Par for the course for sure ~ and getting worse daily.

Oh yum ~ Barium ~ everyone's favorite morning coctail. Good luck with that. Take care and don't ever forget how much we all love ya!

    Hugs, Carrie

  4. Great graphic. Tells it like it is. Take care of yourself, Tom, we miss you here at care2.

  5. Thanks for the cartoon, TomCat. Sorry you're kept too busy to do much else, but your care and rehabilitation has the highest priority even if that means swallowing that awful stuff. And from what you post, it seems they are taking excellent care of you.

As Joanne already mentioned, neither the Sheriff of Nottingham nor King John saw much wisdom in Robin Hood's way and continued to rob the people blind. There may be hope yet, King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta by his barons. But then he spend the rest of his miserable life fighting it and killing as many of those barons as possible, so maybe not.

  6. Hope the test shows that all is well.  Cartoon says it all.  Prayers for my Mom would be welcome–I hope I'll be able to take her home from the hospital after her cardiac event later today.

  7. Good luck with your test today. Hope all goes well.

Regarding the GOPigs, and their continuing ability to retain the power they have, which enables them to rob the poor, I want to mention an interview with a neurologist, Dr.Stephen Porges

In an interview on “Dharma Cafe:”  In his learning to understand how humans operate-"this theory ("The Polyvagal Theory" of psychiatric treatment)has led me more to an understanding of humanity and social interaction…to understand life and (laughing)…the statements being made in the Republican debates.  You understand the fear of many people and how their belief systems are literally being built around protecting them in this fearful way, and how protection keeps them from developing a broader sense of humanity."

He also said that "…there is a history of controlling people through fear; those in power fear empowering the individual."

So, this makes extra sense of the comment I once heard, that conservatives are that way because they are inherently anxious and fearful.  All the easier tobe led by the nose!

TC, I hope your test went well.  You are in my daily meditations.

  9. F or what it is worth, to clarify, Dr.Porges' theory links the evolution of the autonomic nervous system to the emergence of social behavior in humans.  In regard to the GOPigs, it would be anti-social behavior.

  10. Thanks all!  Hugs!
