From the Edge

I’m still sick enough that I just deleted 3 Pp, before remembering to save.  ARGH!

I paid my bills.  All were overdue, because I’ve been out 2 weeks longer than I thought I had.  I have no idea where they went.

I’m glad to learn Joe opted not to run.  Webb did not surprise me either.  As I said before, that snake is a Republican.

Tired and weak,

TC

  1. "tired and weak" yes but better enough to post. Glad to hear from you TC!

  2. Take it easy. TomCat!  We are just happy to have you breathing. Everything else can come later.

  3. You'll be back to your fiesty old self in no time.

I'm glad Joe decided against running. Webb didn't belong in the contest from day1.

  4. I share your views on Joe and Webb.  Glad bills are handled.  Sorry about your frustration. I think I know which two weeks and we four can share that with you later when you wish.

  5. Words to the wise: Pace yourself!

I'm also glad Joe decided not to get in.  He may well not be done with public service (Cabinet, Ambassarod, etc.) – but at least he leaves on a high note.

Jim Webb has major committment issues.  Not only does he have difficulty deciding what party he belongs to, but …

Jim Webb quit after one senate term ✓

Jim Webb quit after less than 1 year as Navy Secretary ✓

Jim Webb quit after one Democratic debate ✓

Maybe he's a not-so distant cousin of Sarah I-Quit-Governor Palin

    • Now if Sarah and Bristol would quit talking, and the press would quit covering their insane observations, we would all be happy.

      • The only reason why the press continues to cover Sarah Palinsane and her carbon-copy daughter is to let the public have a good laugh at their expense. Best to do is just simply ignore their rants as much as possible unless, of course, you need a good laugh. lol.

  6. Good to see you where you belong, TomCat, but you should take Nameless' advice very serious: pace yourself!

Better to come back after a rest then to wait until you feel weak and shaky. I am sure we will see quite a lot of you if you do that. Purely speaking out of self interest, of course  ?

  7. One way of pacing could be to allow yourself two days per post at first…and, when up to it, a personal update inbetween normal posts (you gave yourself that slack in the past–consider it now, please).

  8. Everyone is right on about urging you to take it easy.  Please worry about yourself first and us second or even later.  We care about you!

    • And I too am very glad about Joe and Webb, and that the decisions make Joe a gentleman and Webb a Republican.  Not sure about calling Webb a snake.  I think that might be defamatory to snakes.  Nameless certainly hs his number.

  9. Glad to read that Joe opted out. He's got a lot on his plate, and I think he's a gentleman for doing this.

Try not to overdo anything, you are still recouping, there plenty of stuff out here, later on, to get you riled up.

    Get Well First!

Glad your bills got paid..in the meantime, take a cat nap!

    Take good care!

    • dagnammit I keep forgetting all the titles are links–so sorry my friend, but wanted you to know you made the most active

  10.

Slow and easy. Take care of yourself. But it is so good to hear from you.

  11. Might be just as well you don't recall where those weeks went. That you caught up on the bills is most important now rest and keep up the good work on healing.

  12. it is so good to read anything you write, thanks, and keep recovering well

  13. Treating yourself well, taking your time to get back into stride, are what count.  Please do not push to meet some thoughtless deadline for being back.  I'm sure you hear it a lot, but you, and the body in which you live, have just been through the mill.

Again, it is good the "see" you!

  14. Take care of yourself first and then worry about the PP.   The group of four have kept it going and all the rest of us are commenting.  All we  want is for you to get well.  We miss you~

I respect Joe Biden's decision, he just waited too long to make a decision and if he entered now it would have taken people and money away from the two prime candidates.  Glad Webb withdrew, ditto to Nameless's posts.

  15. TC: You need a bit of time to get back to the swing of things. Yep, the mind is a bit fuzzy and shaky but your actions will come back soon enough. Patience is needed  to work through your health needs. Yep, it's much like riding a bicycle. It'll all come back soon enough.

As much as I like Joe Biden, I'm glad he has decided not to run for POTUS. Joe is much too much as a Gentleman, well liked by many people including his opponents. I don't think we have seen the last of him as of yet.

As for Jim Webb, he sounds more of a quitter than as a potential leader. Webb may have taken himself out of the Demo party to form his own independent run for office. The sooner he realizes that he does not have a chance for POTUS, the sooner he will not waste funds. Best for him is to simply fade away

  16. I'm glad Joe did the right thing too, and for I think the right reasons.  And I am really glad you're healing TC, don't overdo even here, your safety net has the place humming along as usual.  :^) gene
