From Prophets to Profits

It’s already that time again.  As much as Republicans talk about a campaign season that is going to be short and low key, the  establishment candidates are lining up Banksters and vulture capitalists, while the rest are scurrying to capture that attention of the base and the baggers.

0125Cindy_JacobsLouisiana Governor and GOP presidential hopeful Bobby Jindal is the keynote speaker for a rally funded and organized by an anti-LGBT group that has blamed gay people for causing the Holocaust and advocated imprisoning homosexuals.  So why isn’t his appearance garnering national media attention?

On January 24, Jindal will keynote a six-hour prayer event at Louisiana State University called "The Response: A Call To Prayer For a Nation In Crisis." The event is sponsored and funded by the American Family Association (AFA), one of the most extreme anti-gay hate groups in the country. It’s also being staffed by a number of notorious anti-LGBT activists.

The event has drawn protests from members of the LSU community. On January 22, the Faculty Senate passed a resolution expressing displeasure with the event, and a university spokesperson has clarified that the rental of an LSU facility "does not imply any endorsement."

Inserted from <Media Matters?

Rachel Maddow has more, including a woman who could be a Joni Ernst clone. Once again, a Republican governor is kicking off his campaign with a demonstration that he loves Republican-Supply-side Jesus (the exact opposite of the real Jesus) and hates all the same people that Republican Supply-side Pseudo Christians hate.

The sad thing is that all the Republican candidates will eventually pay homage to Dominionists.

Now that takes care of prophets, but what about profits?

This week many Republicans traveled to the annual Koch Brothers retreat.  Some candidates are attending in public, perhaps to cover up those Republicans who are attended secretly, as Standartenfuhrer Scalia and TEAbag Thomas have in the past. Those who will be there on the record are “Deport them all” Rubio (R-FL), “Idiot, Son of Idiot, Named after Idiot” Paul (R-KY), “Uranus Inspector” Cruz (R-TX), and “Fartfuhrer of Fitzwalkerstan” Walker (R-FW)(formerly WI).

So whether it’s for prophets or for profits, the whoring has begun.

  1. Thanks TC–you do make me think of "The Picture of Dorian Gray."

  2. TY TC – oh not more trying to appear to be Joni Ernst (the pig castrator) – sorry, but my health won't stand it!

  3. Remember the studies done on lead and violent crime?  http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2013/01/lead-crime-link-gasoline  Well, since I lived in the eighties in an area which heavily aerially sprayed for (should I say against?) mosquitoes, I have predicted damage especially to developing brains but also to adult brains from exposure to pesticides and herbicides.  Although the exposure has been less aerial and more food borne than I anticipated, I look at Congress, and I look at these people, and I rest my case.

  4. They are also putting up cherry picked tax increases. They know they need to bring more income to the government. Seems their strategy is to cut social programs and raise taxes, but those tax raises won't be limited to just the rich.

  5. We may all remember Bobby Jindal's famous advice to his fellow Rethuglicans being caught on tape saying:

"We must stop being the stupid party."

But that was quite the FULL quote.  It actually was …

"We must stop being the stupid party … but not QUITE yet."

And I'm utterly amazed that this Talibangelical christianist group would invite a speaker like Jindal who obviously believes in Evolution.

Well, of course he believes in evolution.  Just look how his one name has evolved from Piyush to Bobby.

    • If he believes in evolution, which I am happy he does (if he really does!), then must also believe in devolution.  And he is the poster boy for devolution along with Goh-merde, Pig Nuts and a few others.

  6. Louisiana Governor and GOP presidential hopeful Bobby Jindal has lost it all. He has become such an extremist to the point that the American voters would immediately reject as a viable candidate of POTUS Office.

Recently, Bobby Jindal made other news on the 'no-go' ethnic enclaves

    Rachel Maddow:
Cindy Jacobs as a prophet curdles my blood. She is a televangelist! How can people actually watch her on TV is beyond me. Oh right, the "low information people" is it or is it that those viewers are brainless dolts… I tried watching Rachel's  broadcast again and just could not stomach watching and hearing Cindy. A definite BARF BAG ALERT.

As Denny Crane suffers from "mad-cow" disease, so Cindy Jacobs suffers from "mad pig-nuts" disease. lol.

Gene's comment from above in C2:
"This is as insane as the extremists of Islam only without the bloodletting…"

    Dominionists:
"Dominion Theology or Dominionism is the idea that Christians should work toward either a nation governed by Christians or one governed by a conservative Christian understanding of biblical law."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology

Recent Dominants popularized by Pat Robertson include Sarah Palin, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann and now, Bobby Jindal. This could also mean the belief of "Republican-Supply-side Jesus (the exact opposite of the real Jesus)."

    Republican Whores:
Yes. the whoring has begun. The invited candidates are posturing and prostituting
themselves as best as they can, with lots of practice at home, on their hands and knees. They want lots of money from Koch's black-bagged money bags from Koch's  own boogeymen. lol.

    • Jim, she is so relaxed and looks "blissed out"!  Great picture of a great lady and jurist.

      • I agree! So glad I found this and wanted all to see this awesome photo and share it with you. If you scroll down, you will see a photo of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords being hugged by Obama.

  8. Thanks all.  Rerpublicans want to raise YOUR takes, as lona as you arent in the 1%.

  9. These Republicanus/Teabaggers and their right wing evangelical pseudo Christian groupies are so not in step with the word or the spirit of the constitution.  The founding fathers are rolling in their graves at the BS of the Republicanus/Teabaggers.  They are doing exactly what they accuse Iran, for example, of doing . . . cutting anyone who does not believe as they do right out of the picture.  I really horrible things happening if these beasts are successful in taking complete control.  My condolences to you guys for having to put up with the Republicanus/Teabaggers.

  10. This should have had a barf bag alert.  Jindal has completely lost his mind now.  Poor Cindy Jacobson needs to be institutionalized.  Our country is in real trouble if these are the people who will make decisions for us.  Honestly, the evangelicals scare me more than Isis.

  11. Thank you both.  An alret on a Rachel vid?
