I’m writing for tomorrow, and I hurt all over from the exertions if my trip. I still feel quite worn out. I will be in minimal mode for at least a few more days, because I have another prison volunteer day on Tuesday, facilitating a CoDA group there. Tomorrow is a minor holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb. The Pro Bowl should be moved to after the Super Bowl again to allow worship by the league’s two holiest teams.

Say what? Basically, Huckabee seems to be telling us that the Republican Party will not insult women by suggesting the federal government should require health insurance policies to include birth control pills in the prescription drug coverage.
He appears confident that women will find that an attractive proposition.

From The New Yorker: Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that gay spectators should feel welcome at the upcoming Winter Olympics but warned them against “any flamboyant displays that draw unnecessary attention to themselves.”
“The Olympics have always been, and should always be, about the athletes,” President Putin said. “Any attempt by homosexuals to flaunt their bodies in a way that is distracting, provocative, or arousing will be frowned upon.”
“Specifically, gay spectators should remain fully clothed at all times, and resist the temptation to unveil their chiseled biceps or shredded abdominals,” he said.

Huckabee's statement shows how much male fear of women's libido is projection. Not that women don't have libidos, we do, but it is men, not women, who can be led arount by the private parts. I almost imploded when I heard Huckabee on the news. I get a blog from "Margaret and Helen" two ladies of a certain age, and Margaret advised Mike to look in his wife's closet, since they only had three kids. very funny blog. He gets closer to the intelligence of Rand Paul evey day.
I am wondering if Putin is gay and afraid to come out. He is putting a lot of effort into showing he condemns all gays, does he protest too much? Just sayin. Andy always makes me laugh.
I clicked through all the Daily Kos. I wish lobbyists would be out lawed, period. No congressman should be allowed to become a lobbyist when he leaves office, either.

Well done Lynn for walking so far! When muscles are sore/cramp one of the first suspects is missing Magnesium – and there are many mineral sprays that contain it – or one can buy magnesium crystals and just dissolve them and spray on or soak in a bath or footspa…. Epsom salts help too as they are MgSO4…

I would bet that Huckabee's wife has no problems controlling her libido. Nor does any woman, in fact control of the libido as a discussion, is a slap in the face to women and men. It suggests that when one sees an attractive man (or woman) all personal restraint is tossed to the winds. That women charge after that attractive person and give no thought to personal or social morays. Of the many insults that women have been subjected to in recent years, this one tips the scales. No one is asking for FREE birth control (though I do advocate that) they are asking for same rights as men (Rx for Viagra is covered) no matter what the religion of the employer. Viagra is seen as treatment, whereas birth control a choice of lose women. In fact, birth control is preventive care, as is that once a year health check up. What part of none of your business do these people not get? Or is the platform so weak, the ideas so shallow that this is last area of retreat? Treat women as fools and children unable to make the same personal choices as men.
Got to love Andy. When Putin made that speech about the reasons for being anti-gay, he focused on protecting the children. He left the platform, entered the audience for hand shakes, grabbed a child raised his little T-shirt and kissed this little boy on the belly. Now just who is it the children need protection from?
Oh and if you didn't hear Rand Paul's latest anti-Hilary – he spoke out that we could not elect someone that takes advantage of an employee. A direct hit at Bill but, Hilary has long proven to be her own person, I think I smell desperation.
Stay warm, take some naproxen or ibuprofen for those aches and pains – if you are able, TC.

Please try some magnesium for your aches and pains – you can buy sports sprays containing Mg or buy Epsom salts or Magnesium Chloride salts and dissolve them – they really help. (Of course too much of anything isn't good, so anyone with other health problems should check up that they don't interfere).
Huckabee is beyond belief – he really is!
