Once upon a time, North Carolina used to be a lovely southern state, but that was before the state was replaced by the Totalitarian Fascist Plutocracy of McCrorystan, lead by TEAfuhrer Pat McCrory (R-InsaniTEA). He and his Republican cronies have transformed their Reich into a haven for election theft.
…the Republican supermajority in both the N.C. House and N.C. Senate voted in the most sweeping erasure of voters’ rights in the past century. Despite fervent, fact-laden, data-driven, and passionate debates from Democratic lawmakers, both houses of the N.C. General Assembly passed HB589: The House vote was 73-41, along party lines, and the Senate vote was 33-14, also along party lines.
The House version of HB 589 started out earlier this year as a two-page voter-ID bill. After the May crossover to the N.C. Senate, the bill came back as a 57-page piece of legislation that would:
- Cut North Carolina’s early-voting period from 17 to 10 days, although counties would still be required to provide the same number of hours for early voting — an unfunded mandate that provides no resources or funds for counties to meet this requirement.
- Prohibit counties from extending early voting hours on the Saturday before Election Day to accommodate crowds.
- End early voting on the Sunday before Election Day, thereby outlawing the widely popular "souls to the polls" get-out-the-vote effort.

When the TEAfuhrer said I haven’t seen that part of the bill he was lying. The ONLY reason any politicians would openly admit having supported a bill without knowing want is in it is the intent to avoid explaining what they DO know and fully support.
I fully support the Moral Monday movement, and I urge them to file suit immediately, if they have not already done so.

I have a very good friend in NC. This is what she had to say regarding this issue in NC: "True true true. We have been going to the Moral Monday protests. I have missed a few because of work and being out of town but John has been to nearly every one. The gang down in Raleigh is definitely scary. They have set our pretty adopted state back 50 years. It is so discouraging."

I asked if either of them have been arrested:
"He has been arrested. I have not. He's been to court once and the case was "continued"."
Then I asked what does "continued" mean:
She replied, "He will have to go back to court again. "continued" is a court term for putting things off."
There you have it. They will keep me informed.

My Veteran Buddy lives in North Carolina and I am sure of his take on this issue but, it seems big money seems to have the power to ram this unfairness through….

If you are non white, GLBT, female with intelligence, a free thinker, care for the well being of our fellow planet sharers, from any region outside of their county line be prepared. The WAR is not forgotten and a constant rage simmers whenever a "yankee" is within spitting distance. They have no interest in anything about other cultures, lives, achievements.
Oh yes, being a carolinian guarantees you a lower education, poor health care, pay for less wages, rampant violence, multi married and birthing of even less intelligent critters to carry on Southern family mores.
The duplicitous hypocrites in Raleigh have dropped their diguises and are proud to flaunt their white hoods and ignorance. It was always there so beware, and learn from the insanity of corrupt individuals. They plan to do this to the entire country.

Holder and the DOJ need to come down hard and fast on these racist troglodytes. This voter supression legislation is a highly contagious disease amongst the troglodytes and must be eradicated before it takes over in greater numbers.
Somehow I doubt that step-mama's ass is stellar.
