Yesterday was another hot one, but I managed to catch up.  Today I have my appointment for physical therapy, so I’ll put up this and one more.  I’ll distribute the links to them tomorrow.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow appears routine.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:17 (average 4:16).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: The Smirk That Made Mitt Romney The Most Distrusted Candidate Of The Last 50 Years.

After John McCain saw Willard’s returns, he choose Drill Baby Dingbat over Willard for VP. So desperate an act on McCain’s part implies an extreme motivation.  He says it’s because Palin is the best candidate.  LOL!  Maybe she is better than Willard, but I think John is feeding us a McConJob.

From NY Times: Senate Democrats — holding firm against extending tax cuts for the rich — are proposing a novel way to circumvent the Republican pledge not to vote for any tax increase: Allow all the tax cuts to expire Jan. 1, then vote on a tax cut for the middle class shortly thereafter.

The proposal illustrates the lengths lawmakers are going to in an effort to include new federal revenues in a fix for the “fiscal cliff,” the reckoning in January that would come when all Bush-era tax cuts expire and automatic spending cuts to military and domestic programs kick in.

The Republican tax giveaway to the rich must not be allowed to continue.

From Daily Kos: Busted: Now We Get It; CNN Top Political Analyst was on Bain Payroll!!

That wasn’t the first time Republicans bought the media, and it won’t be the last. That’s why our voices are so very important.

  1. 3:04 Maybe my time will hold up against Jerry and Lynn.

  2. Puzzle — 3:32 I guess I'm just a twisted sister!

MoveOn — There is no honour among thieves!  I think McCain recognised that he would take a shelacing  over Rmoney's financial returns even though he might have been more qualified than Palin, so he opted to discount Rmoney (I wonder if he went through a discount brokerage firm?).  And, as far as I am concerned, McCain is bound to keep what he saw private, lest he be sued by Rmoney — totally self preservation.  On the other hand, if Rmoney did try to sue, then his tax returns would become public knowledge anyway.  As fellow Republican/Teabaggers, I think there is an "honour code" there.

New York Times — It is clear that the Senate Democrat proposal is going nowhere with the obstructionist Republican/Teabaggers and their penchant for filibustering.  I think this is the only way forward.  There could be some backlash at the polls, but intelligent voters will see that it is the Republican/Teabaggers that have caused the problem.   Of course, another risk is that the Senate is taken over by the Republican/Teabaggers as a result of the election.  Depending how bad that would be will determine whether Democrats could still block it with the filibuster, assuming the Republican/Teabaggers don't get rid of the filibuster like Reid didn't when he had his chance.

Daily Kos — I said yesterday with the news that the Koch brothers bought a newspaper, he who controls the media controls the people.  May a shark bite CNN and all concerned in the butt for such biased reporting.

Cartoon — Excellent!  The new Nero watching the new Rome burn in financial turmoil.

    • That's well under average.

      I think you're right, except it's a dishonor code.

Get out your microscope and lets go find those intelligent voters. 😉

As media moguls, the Kochs will be even worse than Murdoch.

      Thanks.  Exactly!

  3. So John Sununu thinks that President Obama should learn how to be an American…………

Here’s the truth about John Sununu.
“This is a guy who was born in Havana, Cuba to a Palestinian father and a Salvadoran mother, who just had the gall to tell the president of the United States that he doesn’t know how to act like an American because he grew up splitting time between Hawaii and Indonesia, and smoking weed.
Think about it. The guy is an Arab from Havana who is also a Latino immigrant. And he’s a Republican!! I think Michele Bachmann needs to get on this infiltration before her head explodes. And even though Sununu, like Sirhan Sirhan, is a Christian, someone in his family must surely be tied to Hamas or Hezbollah or the Muslim Brotherhood. Has Sununu ever interviewed Anthony Weiner? Does he know George Soros?”

I still think that $Rmoney was born in Canada while his parents were on vacation and rushed back over the border to register his birth in an American Hospital.
So the question is, is Willard Mitt Romney a Canadian or a Anchor Baby.
    Have a great evening.

    • AP, I learned that just a few minutes before reading your comment.  Good catch!

Are you sure Rmoney wasn't born in Kenya.

  4. This is hard to believe! You would think that at 203 PAGES Rmoney's ONLY Income Tax Returns that he has so far provided would be the whole kit and caboodle.  (You can download the thing at the below Link – but it takes a bit to load)

But you, like me, would be WRONG!

[P]eople who own foreign bank accounts are required to file a separate document with the IRS that provides additional details on such overseas bank holdings, and Romney has not released that form to the public.

  5. I watched more Ed segments and specifically one with the interview of Baby Bush — Bush "… 8 years was awesome, and uh I was famous and I was powerful . . .".  So there you have it, Baby Bush summing up his years as president of the US.  He also made reference to crawling out of that muck, meaning Washington, and not wanting to go back.  My word, he IS the village idiot!

Just had to share this because I thought it was so typical of Baby Bush.
