Yesterday our CoDA group in prison had two new members, and I felt thrilled with they way they jumped right in and went to work on serious self-actualization.  I could not have been more proud of them.  When I returned home I felt very tired and achy, but just hyped enough that I could not get to sleep, so I’m shot today.  Therefore this is today’s only article.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow I have an appointment with the doctor, to whom a visit takes at least 4 hours in travel time, so I may post nothing at all.

Today’s took me 3:32 (4:44 average).  To do it click here.  How did you do?

From MoveOn: What Every ‘Tea Party Patriot’ Is Really Saying

13teaparty

Bear in mind that the Tea Party is still just the brown-shirt storm troopers of the Republican Party.  Thou shalt not commit Teabuggery!

From NY Times: Ron Barber, whom former Representative Gabrielle Giffords picked as her successor, defeated his Republican rival on Tuesday in a closely followed special election seen by many political strategists as testing ground for the power of national issues in deciding competitive races.

Mr. Barber’s win over Jesse Kelly was largely secured by voters in Pima County, the largest of the four counties that make up the district and also home to Tucson, its base and Ms. Giffords’s former hometown. Turnout there and in most others of the district was high for a special election, reflecting the significance of the race and Ms. Giffords’s draw on voters.

Excellent!!! Barber was trailing in the polls at the time voting began in this Republican leaning district. I bet the Brewerstan Death Anger is furious that Sarah Palin’s bullseye has gone to waste.

From YouTube: Republicans have Plotted Treason Now

Thanks to desertflower, a new reader, for leaving the link to this video yesterday. It’s a must see. I call it sedition.

  1. 3:38  Got me again by a few seconds.

  2. On your video about Republican Fascist Nazi's committing Treason….Yes They Are.
Under the Espionage Act when a group of people meet and plot to undermine our Country during a Time Of War ( and they say we are at War) is an act of Treason.
So will Issa convene a open hearing on those Republicans who conspired to aide and abet our enemies during a time of War be held accountable for their Treasonous Acts?  Or ISOKIYAR?
I think we already know the answer to that question.  YES IT IS.  According to them at least, but not too the rest of us Americans.
    Have a great day.

  3. Puzzle — Well I'm certainly not going to the dogs!  We won't discuss my time!
MoveOn — Oh yeh!  Time for a 2012 Tea Party.  Dump the Tea Party in the deepest part of the ocean!
    Vote Democrat 2012!!!!!     Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!
Gabie Giffords — Well done Ron Barber!  I agree TC, The Brewerstan Battle Ax is likely ticked off beyond all doubt.  This is one time when a Republican/Teabagger FUBAR is a good thing!
Thom Hartmann — Treason?  Sedition?  Whatever you call it, the Republican/Teabaggers are up to no good!  At the very least, these 14 should all be in prison for very long stretches!
Harry Reid said "…Cantor, of course –  I'm told by others that he wants to not do a bill [the Senate version of the highway bill that would keep 1.9 million construction workers working ] [read the following as 'in order to make the economy worse'] to make the economy worse, because he feels that's better for them …."
Michael B Doherty, politics editor of Business Insider said he had been told by a senior Republican Senator that they had planned to block all legislation that might improve the economy ( a paraphrase by Thom Hartmann).
Robert Draper, author of "Do Not Ask Us What Good We Do" — "… The republicans had agreed on a way forward … show united and unyielding opposition to the president's economic policies … Begin attacking vulnerable Democrats on the airwaves ,,, Win the spear point of the House (of Representatives) in 2010.  Jab Obama relentlessly in 2011.  Win the Whitehouse and the Senate in 2012." — Planning the end of Mr Obama's presidency on 20/01/2009, Inauguration Day.  The Oath of Office is not yet history and these perfidious idiots are clearly planning a destructive action not only against the president, but more importantly, against the citizens that they are sworn to serve.  These are not representatives but misanthropes of the vilest kind — so steeped in, really addicted to, power and greed, their own power and greed, that they will go to any lengths, illegal or not, to ensure their own elevation to the controlling party.
Thom Hartmann — "…They drew up a national suicide pact — destroy the Republican middle class, at least economically, and blame it all on Obama…."
Congressman Pete Sessions told the National Journal that they were launching what he called "a Taliban insurgency" against Obama.
Thom Hartmann certainly highlights how Harry Reid's failure to change the filibuster rules did so much damage to the American people by allowing people like Sen Tom Coburn (R) to filibuster thereby requiring a 60 vote majority instead of a simple majority vote.  That one action by Reid made the Democrayic Senate all but impotent.  Reid recently admitted that was a mistake, but almost 4 years of damage later, that will be of little consulation to the American people who are having their rights eroded by the back alley butchers of Congress.
Thom Hartmann — "… what do you call it when a small group of Republicans gather to intentionally sabotage an entire nation just so their party can win political power off the pain of working Americans …"
TC, I think this could easily have been a separate article.  It is excellent and profound.  Now I know why so many people that I respect like Hartmann.  Thanks desertflower for bringing this forward!
Cartoon — The Miranda Decision — an important day for everyone.  And I agree, a day when decisions were made by the rule of law and not by partisan politics as it is today.

    • OOPs?

      That's water pollution!

      Thanks!

Assuming that we control the Senate, we need to change the rules.  If the Republicans do, they will.  I know they will, because they promised not to.

      I agree.

  4. TC, have to tell you I don't care for this new format.  I left spaces between items, yet it has smutched it all up making it much harder to read.  Also, I can't go back to edit which means I can't fix the formatting — it appeared ok when I submitted, but looks horrid after.  I sure hope this isn't going to be the way it stays!

    • Lynn, I'm not sure what you did, but it's formatting fine for me.

I hit enter twice after typing the first line.

I hit enter once after typing the second one.

We lodt the ability to edit comment when the old editor became incompatible and the author discontinued it.  I will look for a better replacement when I can. smiley

  5. The Klanservative Klanbagging Kochsuckers hate this country at least as much as Hitler did. Maybe even as much as Kim Il Sung did.

  6. I wish I had read this earlier in the day so my blood pressure would have time to go down before I try to sleep.  I have known there was a  Republican plot to defeat Obama at any cost, but did not realize how TREASONOUS it was.  There should be some way to prosecute them all.

  7. I've been calling both their actions and inactions treason for quite a while now. The video is excellent.
