For the last three months our stats have been very low, partially because I was ill and gone so much, but also because I no longer have the facilities that I used to have to publicize the blog.  More about that later.

Here is our most recent ClustrMap, last updated on June 1.  Note that our map reset on February 28.  The largest circles represent over 1,000 visits. The tiniest represent one to ten.

Here’s some linkey-love in return  The best ways you can spread the message to others is to use the share button at the bottom of each article to list our articles on the the networking sites where you belong. Quote PP articles on your own blogs also helps.  The operative commandment here is “thou shalt steal.”  We’re on the same side here, and I encourage it.  Even if you want to repost a whole article, that’s OK.  Just link back, please.  Also, feel free to swipe my graphics in the articles.  If they are labeled with our Politics Plus URL, they are my work.

Here are the top fifteen commenters for May.  I  copied them off in time. The widget is in the right column.  I don’t count, as I’m the resident big mouth, and I try to reply to every comment, except replies directed at someone else.  Those who leave their URLs in their comments, also get linkey-love here.

We have 541,208 links on other websites.

We have all but disappeared from Technorati. Despite over half a million links, Technorati only recognizes links on sites that have registered at Technorati.  Because we had so much traffic on Buzzflash.net, a registered site, we used to be an A list blog.  Buzzflash.net is gone and with the slowdown, we’re back to B list.  If Care2 were to register with Technorati, we’d be in fat city.

We have 3,416 articles and 51,730 comments, as of midnight 6/1.

I recommend using your own avatar. Go to Gravatar.  Sign up using the email address you use to post comments here and upload the image you want to use.  Whenever you comment under that email address here or on any WordPress blog (several others too), that image will be your avatar.

Your participation remains a major part of what makes this blog worth reading, not to mention worth writing.   Politics Plus exists to help end right-wing insanity and send the Republican Party the way of the Whigs.  Thank you all for all you do, here and elsewhere, to help make that happen.  Together we will make a difference.

Here is our biggest problem  Reddit, the site that generated most of our referrals, has instituted a policy that bloggers must post at least 90% of the articles they send to Reddit from sources other than our own blogs.  That replaced an agreement I had with the moderators to post 50/50.  Digg has a similar policy.  We can get excellent traffic from those sites, but I cannot be the one to send the articles.  If you have an account with either, I would certainly appreciate it if you would post the articles you consider worthy from here.

Our current rut is my responsibility, and I hope my health permits me to return to daily blogging.

  1. “If you have an account with either, I would certainly appreciate it if you would post the articles you consider worthy from here.”

So I could link to your story by using your url in Reddit if I were a member?  I know nothing of Reddit but if it helps get some of the InsaniTea propaganda into the light of day and seen for what it is, rightwing claptrap, then I’ll give it a try.

    • Thanks Lynn, that’s exactly right, but it would be best of nobody posted more than one article a day from here to each site.

  2. Sorry Tom. I don’t understand a thing about the reports but you still seem to be doing a good job of getting the news out there even though you’ve had some health problems lately.

Keep up the good work and try to stay well!

  3. Hi TomCat  I hope things get better.  I think you work very hard to get the word out.  I will use the share button to twitter I also can share your news more in the care2 group Politics Plus.  I went to Gravatar. but i am not sure if i did it right but will keep trying.  It seems that this years 2012 Election interest as hole is low.  The money machine ,citizens united,Rove Koch Brothers are running against Obama.  Romney is just the face(and not very people like him)he is the anyone but Obama vote.  Romney thinks just because he knows how to run a Business(good at bleeding it dry and leaving everyone behind)  makes him qualifind to run the country.  It is just plain scarey.

Everyone i know is just plain busy and have and donot give much thought to what is happening.  I use to be the same way a few years ago until Bush was given the presidency and took us to war by fooling he American people.

if Obama loses and the GOP/Tea Party take the country peopel will be so sorry.  But it will be to late.  In 2008 I was out with my daughter talking to people.  Having my daughter make flyers .  Now in 2012 we are in Yuma AZ.  I am limited  physically  My daughter is 11 and you can only imagine.

When I am out  at school or anywhere no one seems to care. I can not seem to get people to a  interest.  I do have to careful because here in Az you Obama is not even someone who people like I think it is more for Ron Paul.  But not Romney.  Unless the Tea Party tell them to   I wish we could go back to California.

Anyway I hope your health gets better  I think we will have to wait until Nov comes and we just might see alot of iterest.  i just hope Obama wins  Thanks for all you do I will try to get the word out more.  Mamabear 🙂

    • Thanks Mama!  I post a link to my articles in your group every day.  Being an activist in the Totalitarian Corporate Plutocracy of Brewerstan is a mark of courage.

I corrected your link so that it points to your group, not here,. 🙂

  4. TC. I am a newbie here and not all that computer literate, but I will post articles on Facebook, and do what ever I can to keep this blog running.  It is one of my favorite reads since you kindly accepted me as a friend on Care 2.  I hope your health improves. I miss your articles when you are not here.  Edie
