Yesterday, the minor surgery on my foot went well.  I have a chronic cyst under the skin on the outside edge of my left sole.  When it gets too big, walking gets very painful, so about four times a year, the doctor needs to dig it out.  I was overdue, so it took more digging than usual.  Unfortunately, there was just enough residual pain to keep me awake all night.  In addition, I’m supposed to keep the foot elevated today, so I need one more short day.  I’m current with replies and should be back tomorrow.  Good night!

Note that only the dark blue Recovery Measures resulted from Obama’s policies.

From Washington Post: Democracy Corps poll released last month showed Republican incumbents in 56 targeted districts with significantly weaker political brands than Democratic incumbents in 23 of their most vulnerable districts.

The GOP incumbents had an average approval rating of 41 percent and disapproval of 33 percent – including a nearly even 37/36 split in the 28 most vulnerable Republican districts.

Democratic incumbents, meanwhile, had the approval of 50 percent of their constituents, versus 26 percent who disapproved.

I consider the Senate our biggest problem.  Since most Senators whose terms expire are Democrats, holding the Senate may be difficult, and I see 56 as a best case scenario, so expect more Republican sabotage, unless Dems have the votes and the balls to limit the filibuster and outlaw individual holds.

From MSNBC: Rachel Maddow covers the Republican attempt to steal the 2012 election with Judith Browne-Danis.

The worst election fraud of all is the Republican attempt to steal the votes of American citizens. They want a permanent Republican Regime in which elections are for show only.

  1. Thanks for the posts today, I am sure you didn’t feel like doing it.  Hope you are better soon.  Edie

  2. Rushpubliscums want to repeal a lot of Amendments. I think the only one they really like is the 2nd Amendment. They sure as hell don’t have any use for the 13th, 14th, or 20th Amendments.

  3. I’m glad your procedure went well. Heal quickly.

OMG! Only 3:51.  Maybe I got my groove back? I’m not taking pain meds any more either. So I guess I got my mind back too.

Am I the only one who thinks voters are crazy for re-electing RepublicanTs repeatedly? When will they stop watching FAUX NOISE and get rid of the scumbags who are trying to kill our country? They steal votes, they reward companies for outsourcing jobs to other countries while our citizens are jobless. We really need to have the Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate and re-elect Pres. Obama!

  4. MoveOn — This is simple enough to understand that Mr Obama is helping much more than he is hurting!  Too bad the Faux Noise droids are too indoctrinated to even try to understand this!  Faux Noise pandering to the political and informational illiterates and low-effort thinking!

Democracy Corps Poll — I like the general direction of this poll, but it astounds me how so many people can be that blind to the Republican/Teabagger treachery!  As to the Senate, I agree — more onfuscation and obstruction!

Rachel Maddow — Judith Browne-Danis was very succinct.  It (changing voting laws etc) is all being done just before the election, it is being done in Republican/Teabagger controlled states, and it is targeting Latinos, blacks, elderly etc.  The fact that this is going on in GOP states, should be a clear indication of partisan activities that should compel the DOJ to step in NOW!  These states are messing with constitutional rights!

TC — The worst election fraud of all is the Republican attempt to steal the votes of American citizens. They want a permanent Republican Regime in which elections are for show only.

    Amen!!!!!

Cartoon — Interesting and of course because that would be one less election area to try to control.  It would lead to automatic Republican/Teabagger majorities.  In Canada, the Senate is not elected but appointed by the Crown under advisement of the Prime Minister.  Funny, before Harper was elected, the Alliance Party (a fore runner of the current Conservative Party and particularly popular in Alberta) was proposing having an elected Senate because the west was feeling alienated and hard done by.  Now that Harper is in control, he is making the patronage appointments to the Senate, and that is all they are.  He has stacked the Senate with Conservatives.  He is no longer concerned with an elected Senate.  Funny how that works, eh!

    • I know.  The chart clearly shows that what most Americans believe is based on Republican lies.

      I agree.

      I fully agree!

      Thanks!

There a rare way in which Canada needs to catch up to us.
