Walker: The Hounds Close In

Back in the Totalitarian Corporate Plutocracy of Fitzwalkerstan, formerly Wisconsin, things look pretty bleak for Fartfuhrer Walker, as he is at bay, desperately seeking escape from both the law and the people.  It appears so unlikely that the Fartfuhrer can hang on, that the heroes of Wisconsin have a great opportunity to restore their state from the clutches of Republican tyranny.

9WalkerDarlene Wink pleaded guilty Tuesday to two misdemeanor charges of fundraising in the courthouse for then-Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker’s campaign for governor.

Her convictions were the first stemming from a secret John Doe investigation into a variety of issues from Walker’s tenure as county executive. Three other former Walker courthouse aides and appointees also have been charged through the Doe probe.

Wink, 61, worked as Walker’s constituent services coordinator in the county executive’s office at the time, a job that paid about $41,000 a year. She was charged with working on fundraising events for Walker’s gubernatorial campaign in 2009 and 2010 while in her taxpayer-funded county job.

"What I was doing was putting together fliers that were for a fundraiser," Wink told Circuit Court Judge Daniel Konkol.

As part of a plea deal, Wink agreed to provide information to prosecutors in the ongoing Doe probe, now in its 20th month. The deal calls for Wink to serve no jail time, though the judge isn’t bound by that recommendation.

Her sentencing is set for May 15. Prosecutors wanted three months to question Wink, who would have preferred a swifter sentencing, said her lawyer, Peter Wolff.

She faces a maximum of six months in jail and $1,000 fine on each of the two counts… [emphasis added]

Walker was caught in yet another lie. Also, I don’t think he’d be getting criminal attorneys, if there were not evidence against him. Outside money is flowing into the state, alright, and Fartfuhrer Walker sucked two Kochs to get it. Even if he escapes justice, the voters are closing in.  In fact, Ed Schultz just updated that story in an interview with Democratic candidate for Governor, Kathleen Vinehout.

While, it’s too early for me to declare support for any individual Democratic candidate, I’m glad to see Kathleen and others step into the ring.

  1. That’s one of my artworks I’m kinda partial to. Thanks for giving it to a wider audience 🙂

I wonder if the Rushpubliscums have figured out yet that useful idiots are…. idiots? And idiots are often prone to idiotic mistakes. The kind that get you in hot water with the law.

The Koch brothers almost have to be rethinking this particular idiot.

    • Nice art work JR!  Only one detail missing — his IQ.  That would be about 70.

      • Is his IQ really as high as 70. I woulod have thought it was under 50.

        Great artwork JR!

        • Ok Patty, 50 it is.  Here’s the “scoring info I just found on the net.

An IQ under 70 is considered as “mental retardation” or limited mental ability. 5% of the population falls below 70 on IQ tests. The severity of the mental retardation is commonly broken into 4 levels:

          50-70 – Mild mental retardation (85%)
          35-50 – Moderate mental retardation (10%)
          20-35 – Severe mental retardation (4%)
          IQ < 20 – Profound mental retardation (1%)

    • JR, I had no idea this was your work.  You ought to label your stuff with your URL.  Great job!

  2. Oh, the noose is getting tighter around Walker’s neck!  And now, faced with jail and fines, some of the rats are fleeing his sinking ship.  I hope that Wink sings like a canary such that will lead investigators to more corruption charges for Walker.  Oh wouldn’t it be a blast if they could connect the Kochs into that mess, but that will never ever happen.  But I can dream can’t I.

I am pleased to hear Ed Shultz say that 85% of the roughly 1 million signatures on the recall petitions have been verified.  That has to have Walker worried.  Either that or he is too comfy with the Kochs having his back.  But it also makes me wonder when the Kochs are going to decide that he is too much of a liability.  Depending on how well Walker documented his dealings with them, if at all,, may dictate how they deal with him.

I still don’t understand how Walker can be jetting around to various venues speaking to conservative groups rather than fulfilling his duties as governor since he still is legally the Wisconsin governor.  I just hope that the state deducts his pay for all this.

Scott Walker is going down for the count!

      Sing like a canary… smile 🙂

” Oh wouldn’t it be a blast if they could connect the Kochs into that mess,”

      I’m hoping…!

      • I’m with you and Lynn on that one!  You’d think the Koch bros would have figured out that he’s sinking their ship!

    • Getting the Kochs too isn’t just a dream.  It’s a wet dream! 😀

  3. There could be no better outcome than Walker enjoying an extended vacation at taxpayer expense, courtesy of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Unless of course the Koch brothers themselves could be implicated and join him there, but I’m probably dreaming.

Luckily for Walker, Wisconsin’s prison guards are presumably members of a public-employee union and thoroughly professional in their behavior toward prisoners, however noxious.

  4. It’s a shame that you have scum like Walker taking the hit for the Koch bros.. Seems to me that the underlings get fined, fired or go to jail, while the Funders – ie Super Mafioso operators behind the operation are sitting pretty counting their losses ( a mere drop in the bucket), contemplating the next plan of action! It would be nice to get to the root source of the evil – as long as the Kochs are in business there will be more of these idiots to take the bullet for a buck!

  5. I really hope Wink sings like a canary. Bring Walker down. He’s such a wimp that he would probably finger the Kochs to spare himself. I’m waiting for the “perp walk”.

  6. Throw the book at his entire administration, and get that brash, ruthless son of a bitch removed from office asap! Scott Walker and his disgusting Koch brother donors have no regard at all for democracy, and they must be made to pay the price for their aloof arrogance!

  7. Although no date has been set yet for the Recall election, speculation is it’ll be in May.
It’d be nice if she were sentenced shortly before then.

I could not possibly say it better than this  Mr Jodell—-!!
