Slipping in the Santorum

Rick “Google Me” Santorum is a hateful, bigoted hypocrite.  He has repeatedly demonstrated his distain for civil rights, gay rights, women’s rights and human rights. Yesterday Santorum slipped in himself, displaying his hypocrisy with an extreme contradiction.

SantorumHatRick Santorum regularly touts the importance of families on the campaign trail, but during a town hall event in New Hampshire this afternoon, the former Pennsylvania senator argued that he would break up immigrant families who entered the country illegally. “It happens every day, we take fathers and mothers out of their families if they break the law and [undocumented immigrants] shouldn’t be treated any better than American citizens who break the law and being separated from their families,” he explained, before noting that his grandfather also left his family in Italy in order to enter the United States legally:

SANTORUM: My grandfather made sacrifices. He lived in this country five years without his family…So when I hear people say, ‘well, people have lived here a long time, and they’ve played by the rules and we don’t want to separate families.’ Well, my grandfather separated from his family. Why? Because America was worth it.

Several minutes later, however, in response to a question about his opposition to same-sex marriage, Santorum touted his support for so-called traditional families. “I think family is important and I think marriage is important for children to have strong families as the foundational element of our community,” he said. “Absolutely. I think it’s essential for the economy.”… [emphasis original]

Here’s the video:

There it is.  If you’re an undocumented worker with children born here, family is not important enough to keep your family together.  On the other hand, if you want to marry someone of the same gender, family is so critically important that you should should suffer discrimination.

Republicans change beliefs on a dime depending on whom they are targeting with their hateful bigotry.

  1. Crap!  I just slipped in something!

The man has no idea what he is talking about.  How many flee their countries of origin for fear?  How many leave because economic conditions are such that they cannot raise their families?  Santorum’s grandfather made a choice to separate from his family.  Other’s don’t have that choice.  Might I also suggest that circumstances were different then than now.

Would someone put duct tape over that man’s mouth so his filthy bigotry isn’t splattered all over the place.

  2. Typical RepublicanT speak = diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain.

  3. I might add that some families become headed by a “single man” due to the death of his wife – just as the opposite might happen! I know this from my experience – this guy’s a jerk! – he’s in need nipple clamps!

I have come to the point where I can no longer stand to listen to this bigot spew his , hate and ugliness- I cannot understand why and how he has reached the point of being considered for the most powerful position in the world—Santorum repeatedly describes the ugly wasteland that is his soul . without shame he spits out hate , and  filth- He makes me feel ill— but that people listen and applaud  makes me want to upchuck– What in the name of all we hold holy does any one reinforce this piece of offal–He is truly nasty..

I guess that makes me judgmental ?
