That didn’t last long. It’s back to 999!
From Reuters: The top United Nations human rights forum is expected to condemn Syria for crimes against humanity at an emergency session on Friday, European and Arab diplomats said.
The move is also designed to put pressure on China and Russia to take a stronger stand against the government of President Bashar al-Assad, they said.
The US should support this, but China and Russia are sure to compare US support for Israel.
From Raw Story: A gun club in Scottsdale, Arizona is staging a unique fundraiser this year: taking photos of children posing with Santa Clause, and machine guns.
The idea is to use the images on Christmas cards, and the Scottsdale Gun Club says the whole family is invited to say cheese while holding high powered weapons of war.
Scottsdale is the Phoenix suburb, where upper crust Republicans live. These people are insane!

The US needs to totally divest itself of all Middle Eastern political Machiavellian machinations, tend to the business on these shores. The UN has proven to be a dog with no teeth. So really who cares who charges whom with what and counter charges them with that. although I do believe Iraq owes us about 1.9 trillion dollars for their freedom and another Trillion for the 5000 Americans who died there and another 500 billion for our permanently wounded. Hey gang – just in time to celebrate the Prince of Peace – you, too, can have a photo taken with Santa Claus, you, your kids, and guns … lots and LOTS of guns! Why, it’s suitable for framing or sending out as your Season’s Greeting card. With a setting like that, can’t you just hear Santa chortling away: “HO, HO, HO … OR ELSE!!!”
Cain — Reassess all you want bucko but you’re not going anywhere now. How could anyone seriously believe Cain capable being POTUS when he lies like rug — no affair (Ha!!!) and no sexual harassment allegations (Ha!! Ha!!). You made your bed so to speak, now you have to lie in it! It’s not the daliances that are killing him, although I don’t agree with them; it’s the lying about them that is sinking his ship! Shame!
Human Rights — The US should swallow its pride and stand up straight and support the condemnation of Syria for crimes against humanity. In my mind, by not standing up to be counted, they are condoning Syria’s actions. How they choose to deal with Israel is a totally different affair, different circumstances, although I do not agree with the hawk views of the Israeli government. They can compare notes later with the Russians and the Chinese.
Personally, I think this whole thing with permanent members of the Security Council is silly. All nations should be able to come to the table as equalls

Kids are forced to grow up so quickly anymore. Children, especially young children, need innocent dreams to believe in while they can. Somehow Santa and machine guns just doesn’t cut it. Additionally, this doesn’t do a damn bit of good teaching kids about true respect, peace and non-violence. Shame on these wackos!!!!!

Cartoon — Yup, looks like a real hospitable environment for kids where they’re going to earn some money for their pockets, NOT! My grandfather told me about a boy at school that had to shovel coal for a living while trying to go to school. He turned up filthy and was sick a lot from the coal dust. Newt should have put his own kids to work like he thinks others should do, that’s assuming they haven’t divorced him. Or maybe he didn’t have any — lucky kids. Good cartoon.

Cain — 02/12/11 — I heard today that Cain is opening a campaign office I think in Georgia. At the same time he said he is reassessing his candidacy. Well he can’t have it both ways. What is he really doing? In the next sentence, he said he loves his wife and family and he needs to take them into consideration. Why hasn’t he been doing that all this time? A 13 year on again/off again affair and 4 allegations of sexual harassment — it seems a little late to try to convince anyone that he is a family only man. I really don’t think that this ‘man’ has the integrity, honesty, morals, or capability to be POTUS. I think he should board up the windows and crawl back into the swamp from whence he came.
