An Old Newt up to Old Tricks

They say you can’t teach an old Newt new tricks, and Newt keeps proving the adage by repeating the old ones that previously brought his career to an end in a whirlwind of corruption and scandal.  This is how Newt demonstrates that charity clearly begins at home.

NeuterNewtA charity founded by Newt Gingrich paid Gingrich’s for-profit company $220,000 over two years, ABC News reports. The non-profit, Renewing American Leadership, was meant to spur conversation about restoring Christian principles in Washington, and mostly did that through letters seeking donations. The list of people who responded to those letters with checks was given to Gingrich–something that would be very valuable to a potential presidential candidate building support early in the campaign. ReAL, as the non-profit is called, also paid full-price for Gingrich’s books and DVDs. ABC News asked Gingrich for comment ahead of a speech in New Hampshire, but the candidate would only respond, "I’m not concerned about that. The American people aren’t concerned about that. Try covering the speech."

"Newt Inc." as Gingrich’s many organizations are called, has helped Gingrich stay in the public eye and his ideas in the public debate since he left office as Speaker of the House in the late 1990s. It has also made him rich: he bought a $1 million home in the suburbs of Washington, secured a $500,000 line of credit from Tiffany’s, and, most recently, went on a two-week luxury cruise, the last of which cited as a reason for many of his campaign staff quitting en masse… [emphasis added]

Newt’s old trick should not be surprising.  It’s been standard stock and fare for Republicans ever since the Reagan revolution, at least.  Blood-libel Barbie uses sarahpac the same way, as Paul Ryan does the budget.

  1. That arrogant crooked son of a bitch hypocrite! He and Calista can both take a flying leap!

  2. If I ever get a pet pig, I’m naming him “Newt”. 😈

  3. With regard to political affiliation. The greed need that has held this country hostage for so very long comes from all party affiliations. To blame the political affinity of any political entity is not always as accurate assessment of he or she. It is the perceived cronyism network at work in all politically, bureaucratic, clergy, and any other related title in charge of the rights of American peoples that has been blemished continuously by members of all political affiliation or title. There is not one political party that “walks on water” with regard to the respect expected from them or the titles they use to abuse and corrupt, period.

A snake is a snake is a snake is a snake. No matter what markings it displays. With no offense to the snake.
More about the perceived human snakes, sharks and predatory mindsets that have our country in such a stranglehold of corruptive constitutional violations.

Freedom is suppose to be for All of the peoples, All of the time, period.

If you spend any time here at all, you will learn that I call them as I see them and that frequently includes criticizing Democrats. However, if you you’re saying there is no difference between the parties, I suggest you consider Wisconsin or any of the other states where Republicans are in complete control. Their residents would disagree.

Once, I too lived in a world where right was right, wrong was wrong, all of the time, period. The problem was and is, that world does not exist. In real life moat of the choices we have are not so cut and dried. Most of the time, all the possible options are somewhere in the middle, and we must seek closest to best or furthest from worst. With all their many faults, the Democrats are the better option by a wide margin.
