Ashamed to Show His Face

Tim Profitt is afraid.  He does not want anyone to see his face. Tough!  I’ll show it along with another face that’s equally vile.  If having his face plastered all over the Internet causes him to fear, that’s fine with me.  Like most Republican bullies, he’s just a coward.  Please do NOT respond against him with violence.  Why?  That’s not our way.  It’s what makes us better that he is and the Republican hate mongering he represents.  Would you believe that this bastard actually wants an apology from Lauren Valle?

Tim Profitt, the former Bourbon County campaign coordinator for Kentucky GOP Senate nominee Rand Paul’s campaign, gave the AP a non-apology apology yesterday for stomping on the head of a MoveOn.org activist outside a Senate debate Monday night, saying, “I apologize if it appeared overly forceful.” But apparently his pseudo-remorse was short-lived, as Profitt told local CBS affiliat [sic] WKYT today, “I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.” (The Lexington Police think otherwise, issuing Profitt with a criminal summons).

And astonishingly, asked if he planned to apologize directly the activist Lauren Valle whose head he stomped on, Profitt said, “I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you.” Watch it:

Profitt has remarkably attempted to blame Valle for the incident in which he and another large man wrestled the 23-year-old woman to the ground, telling WKYT, “she was a professional at what she does and I think when all the facts come out, people will see that she was the one who initiated the whole thing.” Profitt has said he restrained Valle because he feared the petite woman represented “a danger” to Paul, and said he stepped on her because “I couldn’t bend over because I have issues with my back.” Meanwhile, Profitt now says he “fears for his safety.”

On a conference call organized by the campaign for Demoratic nominee Jack Conway today, a 60-year-old Conway supporter named Michael Grossman said he was also assaulted by a Paul supporter at the same event. Grossman — who attended the event “simply as a supporter” of Conway — was carrying a sign with Conway’s name on it. Shortly after Valle was attacked, Grossman said he “felt a heavy hand on my shoulder” and turned around to see a “thug” who “happened to be massive.” Grossman said the man tried to “thrust me to the ground” in order to get to Valle and take part in that melee. When Grossman turned around, he said the man “verbally berated” him, called him a “communist” and a “socialist,” and said “you ought to be back in California or New York with all the rest of the scum.”…

The second incident makes it more than clear that the assault on Valle was not an accidental incident.  The Paul campaign must have planned to deal brutally with dissent.  That should not surprise us.  It’s the Republican way.

  1. So Tom you want to take an ass kicking just to prove I am a better man? Sorry I have already done that it does not work, and I will never not return blow for blow again. I will in every case fight with every tool at my disposal if in an unprovoked attack and if someone winds up hurt or dead shame on the one who first laid their hand on me.

    • Different situation, Mark. I was not talking about self defense. I was talking about taking violent revenge on this creep.

      • Honestly Tom, you think Chicago ’68 was violent? That was a police state out of control now you will be seeing more of it not just from the uniformed police but from the extreme right. I may die but I will die swinging not being swung on. That shit Killed Gandhi & Dr. King and once they were dead all bets of non violent solutions went off the table. Hell they are already calling for violent responses in at least 5 different places I have seen if they do not get their way this election cycle.Detroit may wind up being the safest city in America.

        • Mark, you and I may never agree on this, but I certainly cannot fault you, nor am I perfect in my own record. In Chicago ’68, when the officers advanced, the girl next to me held out a flower to one of the cops, and he split her skull with his night stick. I remember taking it away from him and nothing more. I woke up, thoroughly beaten up, in a holding cell with around 50 other demonstrators, and was got out in a mass release the next day with no charges filed. People I knew who had been near me told me I did some damage before I went down. Everyone has a limit.

But I still believe in Gandhi and King. They died, but they won.

  2. (For some reason, I’ve had problems accessing this site and posting comments. Here’s my second try!)

Real men don’t demonstrate their masculinity by beating up women half their size. Tim Profitt, take note.

I look forward to more details about this case, and I hope all the assailants are held accountable. I still wonder if “someone” put them up to this.

    • Real men don’t demonstrate their masculinity by attacking men either. Way too much violence in this world today and we must not tolerate it.

      • I fully agree with both of you.

      • So Charles you’re saying you would have gone up to that fat ass and politely asked him to stop? Sorry dude I would have cold cocked the son of a bitch and probably a couple of others. You did notice in the tape that the only one to help was a woman who pushed dumbass number one off of her didn’t you?

I already know I am a real man because I am my beliefs and my faith in a God inviolable but I will not see either women or children by an out of control parent hit for any reason whether it directly involves me or not. I have stopped traffic to stop a woman from being hit on the street. Dude that shit just does not fly with me. And if I had a word with mr Teabag Rand supporter it would most likely end up physical or he would back down because a man who beats a woman is a coward. Funny thing is though he was fired and disavowed the Rand campaign decided to keep his $2000 donation. Guess they beat him up for us all.

That non violence thing is a Utopian dream in this world today and half of the most violent people I know were all love generation turncoats become teabaggers. (someof which are complaining about the term now that they know it has a gay sexual connotation to it. hahahahahahahahah what a bunch of shit heads.

    • I’m sorry, Ahab. I have no idea why.

  3. TC, I agree with you on the nonviolence. How can we be better than the other side if we act the same way? It really is disturbing (shades of the 60s!) for violence to be perpetrated on peaceful demonstrators.

  4. We shouldn’t be too surprised at the the growing violence of the Tea Baggers, for it is a reflection of the society they desire: the Jungle. Soon, they will feel the need to carry weapons and they will use them. At that point, the next Civil War will be underway. I hope they are proud of themselves for destroying the nation they claim to love..

  5. Mike Pezzano (the guy holding her down in the vid) also may be in trouble for sexually assaulting her. Look closely at the vid, he grabs her left breast while pushing her to the ground – that’s sexual assault. As for Profitt, he’s in a shit load of trouble and the best (and safest place) for him right now would be in jail. Although, the inmates don’t take kindly to assaulting a woman half your size, so expect him to have some bumps and bruises when he appears for arraignment. Keith broke down the vid the other day so you can see Pezzano grabbing her breast. Douchebag. She probably doesn’t even remember than after having her head stomped on. 😡 😡 😡

  6. Violence in the defense of Senator Randi Paul is no crime.
Moderation in the stomping of librul women is no virtue.
Sarah Palin, half-assed governor of Alaska

  7. It would seem to me that these crazy teabaggers could be successfully indicted and justifiably convicted for having forcibly deprived Ms. Valle of her right to exercise free speech. I hope her legal team will pursue that avenue.

  8. There’s no such person as “Tim Proffit.” That’s Phil Gram in the picture next to Rand Paul 🙂

Slight correction on “the next Civil War” that Realist mentions. There won’t be a next civil war until this current civil war ends. It started in 1860 and it’s still raging. And right now the South seems to be winning.

  9. You can’t judge a book by its cover but I’ve got his: T-H-U-G. G-O-O-N. Sexually . . . well. Abusers always blame the victim. Always.

  10. Maybe the problem is that we Americans do not react violently to these corporatists when they are violent.

You all know who Percy Schmeiser is, right? I got a chance to ask him,”When those Monsanto thugs came onto your land and started stealing from you and threatening you, why didn’t you just take them out with a rifle and disappear their bodies? You had every right to do so.”

Mr. Schmeiser, having lost his family’s legacy to the Monsanto gang, now follows them around the world telling the world what they did to him. And Monsanto still harasses and threatens him! One day Mr. Schmeiser will end up with a bullet in back of his skull and a hasty ruling of suicide followed by a quick cremation.

I’m not advising anybody to shoot trespassing Monsanto terrorists. I’m just saying, if the Monsanto thugs thought that someone might have put a bullet up their butts then maybe they would have thought twice about what they did to Mr. Schmeiser. I think they picked him as a target partly because he is a peaceful person and unlikely to repay in kind.

    • Welcome Dan. 🙂

The problem as I see it is that when people of good will adopt the tactics of evil to defeat it, they become what they defeated.

  11. “I couldn’t bend down [and beat her with my hands] because of my back [so I had to beat her with my foot]”

Ah, the logic of the thug. Retched.

  12. While I agree with the various comments about non violence, we may eventually have no other choice but to take up arms against these deluded nitwits. As repungent as it is, sometimes violence must be met with violence. It is the only thing they understand.

    • Welcome, BAB. 🙂

Personally, I will always follow a path of non violence, but a agree with you gthat people have a right to defend themselves.

  13. I do believe this brand of conservative is predisposed towards violence… I don’t think, however, that the Paul campaign have planned on responding brutally to protesters, but the campaign is made up of these fringe fanatics who feel they are justified in their actions because of their interpretations of everything ranging from the Bible to the Constitution…

    • Then Paul should have made a much stronger apology and denounced the act in no uncertain terms. But he didn’t.

      • I agree. That was no apology.

        • Kevin, I agree with the gals. Profitt was not just a random thug. He was a county campaign manager. By trying to blame the victim, he endorsed the violence. This also not a random incident. Republican security operatives have displayed a pattern of violence nationwide, implying a plan.

  14. I find it very disconcerting that Rand and other tea party idiots espouse the idiocy they do and things are looking good for some of them. I can’t believe there are so many F’d up people. Now Palin says she’s ready to be President. Geezuz christ!
