Itβs a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, the Blessed Beginnings of expectation. The Dallas Diocese and the Cincinnati Diocese will meet in Hall of Fame worship at 5 PM (Pacific) on NBC. I plan to try to catch a few Zs earlier in the day to observe the festivities. Iβm up to date with replying to comments, and returning visits, and I should stay that way.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today it took me 5:30. To do it, click here. How did you do?
Fantasy Football:

There are five spots left.
Short Takes:
From McClatchy DC: In a surprising court filing, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger asked Friday that gay marriages be allowed to resume immediately in California after a federal ruling that the state’s voter-approved ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional.
Dang! I agree with a Republican!! π―
From News Hounds: Fox Nation posted about an amusement company pulling a shooting game because of complaints that the target looked like President Barack Obama and a slew of readers openly expressed desire for the real thing. Well, that and killing illegal immigrants.
As much as Bush might have deserved it, only once during his Regime did a PP reader ever seriously suggest killing him. I did not delete the post, but in my reply, I chewed him a new asshole. Where are the moderators there? Evidently Fox News approves of this treason.
From Alternet: A group of influential conservative members of the behemoth social media site Digg.com have just been caught red-handed in a widespread campaign of censorship, having multiple accounts, upvote padding, and deliberately trying to ban progressives. An undercover investigation has exposed this effort, which has been in action for more than one year.
I stopped posting at Digg long ago, because my articles never moved as they do on other sites. Now I know why. Despicable!
Cartoon: from Cagle.com
May the orb bless you. π

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Well, the Governator does something good!
I saw a pic of that game – vile.
Are their penalties for Digg for doing that?
Great cartoon. Boy, those Repubs have really gotten themselves in a tizzy eh?
Lisa, Digg has not done it themselves. It’s an organized group of Rabid Right Digg users. I can not say for a certainth that Digg even knew it was going on.
And as noted over at DailyKos, there’s a question if legal standing exists for appeal brought by Olson and Boies in opposing the stay:
“2. There Is A Significant Question As To Whether Proponents Even Have Standing To Invoke The Jurisdiction Of The Court Of Appeals”
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2010/8/7/890986/-Prop-8:-Proponents-May-Lack-Standing-to-Appeal
That’s a good point, Nameless. It actually goves SCOTUS an out to avoid ruling on it.
4:03 on the puzzle.
I finally got off my fat, dead ass and registered for the Ellipse Orb house of imaginary worship, as well.
4:03? That was a tough puzzle. Did you cream my butt or what? I saw that anf am glad you have joined the legion of the faithful. π
Welcome back.
