Hard as this my be to believe, but even these least offensive of all creatures is not immune from Talibangelical TEAbuggery.  God forbid that Bubba the Bagger should be inconvenienced to stop the harm irresponsible recreation practices are causing to manatees.

14manateeJesus apparently hated manatees, according to a new Tea Party platform circulating around Florida.

Originating from the Citrus County Tea Party Patriots group, teabaggers are crying about the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s intent to place restrictions against boating and other things near the city of Crystal River — and now they’re trying to get all Florida Tea Partiers to ask congress to block the wildlife service, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

And why would they be trying to do this? Because protecting animals like manatees is against the Bible and the Bill of Rights, according to one Tea Party leader.

“We cannot elevate nature above people,” Citrus County Tea Party Patriots leader Edna Mattos told the paper. “That’s against the Bible and the Bill of Rights.”… [emphasis added]

The Republican Party and their pseudo-Christian storm troopers have no conscience, compassion, or shame.

  1. But the tea Party is a job creator for some…ergo they get to say what happens in the nations waterways.

Dick Armey, chairman, FreedomWorks and FreedomWorks
Armey earns a total of $500,000 per year for his work on behalf of both organizations, which, for the most part, share the same staff.

Matt Kibbe, president, FreedomWorks and Freedom Works Foundation. Kibbe’s combined compensation for his positions at FreedomWorks and its foundation — and “affiliated groups” — added up to $308,097

Tim Phillips, president, Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation. With an annual compensation of $252,918, according to 2009 tax filings by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation

Sal Russo, principal, Tea Party Express. In the 2010 election cycle, businesses in which Russo has a financial interest reaped at least $845,000

Judson Phillips, founder and principal, Tea Party Nation $99,999

    • I wonder if these stupid tea baggers know that most of their contributions are going to pay these obnoxious salaries of these doucebages. 😯

  2. I guess they never read in the bible that God cares for all his creatures and knows when a single sparrow drops from the sky.

  3. As I continue to say the only good Republican is a dead Republican, and frankly, I don’t give a damn, how they die. I just hope that it is slow and painful.

    • I’m starting to agree with you Charles. I’m definitely with you on the slow and painful part. 😈

  4. Is there no end to their distortion and idiocy-? God hates the creatures He created ? He certainly did not create boats to be protected—-Idiots without a lick of sense of compassion-, or good sense.

  5. TeaBagger Douchery knows NO limits!

  6. Shame on ’em! 👿

  7. Well, at least now we know what happened to the dinosaurs. Why God would set one animal over the other is beyond me. I wonder if they ever read the passage about man being a good steward of the gifts that God gave him. Perhaps that’s one of the many, many passages they left out of the Bible.

    • Maybe the tea baggers killed off the dinosaurs for meat – you know, since the earth is only 6000 years old and shit. 🙄

  8. It’s a wonder how many interpretations of the “funny book of mythology” there exists in just one country!

  9. I had a rabbinical student once explain to me (and my rabbit) that God did indeed protect certain species from our predations. This belief that we can trash the earth comes from a bit of cafeteria Christianity.

    • Welcome Joel. 🙂

I think trying to the lay this at the feet of any religion is inappropriate. The problem stems from the abuse of religion.

  10. Why would you want to hurt a manatee? They are so cute! So you can’t run your stupid boat in a particular part of the Gulf or Ocean? What is the BFD? The Ocean and the Gulf are really, really big – pick another damned place to run your damned boat. And get the fuck over yourselves. 🙄

    • Exactly, Lisa! I’ve been to Crystal River and there are actually more divers in the water than manatees. It’s dangerous for the divers, too. You can easily paddle a kayak out to King’s Spring and anywhere else in the bay to see Manatees without motors. 👿

  11. Thanks for the wonderful replies and for your support of these innocent creatures.
