It’s another day, and I’m so busy, that I’m putting twos pounds of kitty crunches in a one pound box, as usual!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:23 (average 5:27).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (GQ Channel): The Intel Community and the Slow Death of Trump’s Presidency | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann

If Keith is accurate, and it appears that he is, may the IC bring the Fuhrer down quickly, with more leaks than a Russian hooker.  RESIST!!

From All In: Michael Moore explains how to stop Donald Trump

Activist and Academy Award winning filmmaker Michael Moore joins Chris Hayes to talk about his ten point plan on how to stop Donald Trump.

Moore makes a crucial point. No Republican should ever get the opportunity to run unopposed. We have never had a greater opportunity to sweep Republicans from power.  RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: An overwhelming majority of Americans say that their lives have improved since Kellyanne Conway went away, a new poll finds.

According to the poll, Americans have been sleeping more, eating better, and enjoying a markedly greater sense of well-being following Conway’s sudden departure.

“I had lost my zest for life,” Carol Foyler, a poll respondent, said. “Now that Kellyanne Conway is gone, I greet every day with a smile, I feel my energy coming back, and I want to have sex again.”

Across the nation, medical professionals have reported striking improvements in patients’ mental health since the White House counsellor vanished, a phenomenon some doctors are calling the Conway Effect.

It is less like Faux Noise, since was banned from doing press interviews, Andy. I suspect that the Fuhrer has Kellyanne Consensual performing …um… other duties.  RESIST!!

  1. 5:09  I think it's edible – couldn't find anything to the contrary.

Keith – "He really likes maps."  Well, of course, he's never looked at one before; they are novelties.  Seriously, though, I have such mixed feelings around this whole feud thing that I don't have much if anything to say.

All In – Yeah, no Republican should ever run unopposed.  But where are the Dem candidates in the deep red districts?  I guess the answer to that is, to find them, you have to be working closely with the local Democratic party – and recruiting them.  In all honesty, however, we could run Saint Peter in my district and he would lose to the Republican.  The local Christians would be sure he was a Muslim anarchist.

TNY – LOL!  It will take more than that to improve my mental health.  Milo Yannopolis deported, Alex Jones tarred and featheres, and Steve Bannon behind bars would be a good start.

Cartoon – Wouldn't most Republicans be surprised that there is any issue with a Poll Tax?

  2. KO: Love this guy. Kudos to the IC!!! The sooner the better. It sure will be a glorious day when it happens/does.

All In: Good video! and good points. The Resistance is ALIVE and Marching On!! RESIST!!!
I hope that Keith Ellison gets the DNC chair too.

NYer: I can actually laugh at this, as I can't stand the woman.

    *Spot on, David, I agree!

Hope that you get a chance to rest/relax. Enjoy your evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Keith: My answer to the question is "NO! He has no idea, is both neither sane, nor smart enough.  He is too caught up in his perceived role as "King of the Hill," and his belief that he, alone, can make no mistakes; thus there is no place in his world view for concern, for testing the waters, as it were.  Recall, this is the clown who said he'd never asked God for forgiveness, as "I've never made a mistake."  This is a symptom of his delusional Malignant Narcissism.  He is good at deflecting, and projecting, as any good GOPig is, and good at innuendo, as yet another defense tactic. He'll point out something he does not like and say that those PEOPLE "Have their reasons…you know."  This gives his followers the opportunity to fill in the blank in whatever way fits their bias.

New Yorker: May Conway choke on her, um, other duties!

All In: Michael is marvellous!  Keeping the RESISTANCE energized is soooooo important!

  4. Puzzle — 3:31 If its edible, enjoy your salad Puddy Tat!

YouTube — If Keith is right, and if an article in The Hill is accurate when it says "The FBI rejected a recent request by the White House to dispute media reports that Trump campaign officials had regular contacts with Russian intelligence officials before the election, CNN has reported.", then the IC is going to fry Drumpf.  Sessions must recuse himself from any investigation of the Russian connection by the DoJ to reduce the chances of interference.  Drumpf has already tried to interfere with the FBI, an indictable offense I'm sure.

    Resist and Persist!!!

All In — Moore makes some very good points.  The Republican town halls have certainly not been comfortable places for Republicans given that their constituents are very angry.  People need to ramp up their resistance and take part in everything including dog catcher.

    Resist and Persist!!!

The New Yorker — Conway is a disgrace as is her master.  I think the mental health of over half the US population will improve when the two are gone . . . for that matter when all Republicans are gone!

    Resist and Persist!!

Cartoon — "Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax." — Paying for ID constitutes a "tax" — just like a Republican to try to get around this point.

    Resist and Persist!!!

"putting two pounds of kitty crunches in a one pound box" is so you!  You need to cut back on kitty crunches!  I had lunch with some friends then did a bunch of running around working on my mother's estate today.  When I got home, the feathers were calling and I had a very long nap.

    • Dumb question, as they have proably thought of this already (they are not bright, but they are cunning) – would an ID still be a tax if it didn't have to be government issued to be acceptable?  If it could be issued by a private entity or a 401c(3) or (4)?  Wonder what the screaming matches would sound like them.

      • I think that SHOULD depend on whether or not the voter has to spend money to claim their right to vote.  I think it would under SCOTUS.  Under SCROTUS, it would not count as a poll tax even if it was an actual poll tax.

  5. Hope you got through your busy day without trouble, TomCat.

Keith Olbermann: Sounds very compelling when Keith puts all facts together, connects the Intelligence dots and dots the I of Intelligence, doesn't it. In this case, we all have to wait and see, including Drumpf. It's been quiet these past few days, well quiet for little old Twitter hand, that is, but I wouldn't be surprised when Drumpf come out next week with guns blazing and drawing all the attention to some new excess of his and putting the IC on a back burner.

AI: Michael Moore is right on all point, but the DNC also needs to heed them, especially about this being their last chance to turn things around. Moore gives them a fair warning that he, and many, many more like him, have had it with the way they have been handling things the past decade or so. If they don't get the right people elected now because the elite is still calling the shots, its goodbye Democratic party.

TNY: I hadn't paid much attention these past two days and had missed that. No, not about Americans rising to above zero on the happiness index again, but about Conway "having disappeared". I hadn't noticed, but then she never made it big in our media. They had banned her from the start.

  6. Thanks all!  Hugs!!
