Yesterday, The Supreme Court heard arguments in the case of Lisa Cook’s unlawful firing from the Federal Reserve. Based on questions asked by the Justices, both Michael Popok and Adam Klasfeld believe it will go 8-1 against the Mango Menace, or maybe even 9-0. Both have been watching the court for a long time, and I hope they are not wrong this time. Incidentally, Jerome Powell was present at the hearing too. Also, CPR reported that Tina Peters was “involved in an altercation” at the prison she is in (not a surprise.) And most of the snow in my yard is gone now, but there are a few patches left – and we are now expecting more on Friday and Saturday.

This is Robert Reich at his best. I don’t know whether it will actually be seen by the world leaders he is really addressing – but I hope it will.

It’s not as if we didn’t know most of what’s in the Common Dreams article. But knowing what happened, and doing something about it, are two different things.

This is the way Andy used to write for the New Yorker. The only thing missing is “Harland Dorrison.” Oh wait -I said that too soon. He shows up (a little masked) in this one!

Ask and you shall receive, I guess! Not that I actually asked anyone, but here it is – I can give you a full day’s notice for this event.

Yesterday, as usual on Monday, I slept late. I still managed to take in and put away a large grocery order, though. And even do a little knitting (while waiting for the delivery.)

I learned about this Sunday evening. All the sane people on the ‘net are reminding all of us that we have very few confirmed facts yet, and that we harm ourselves more than any one else if we speculate – especially out loud – and I 100% agree. So why does the headline read like a confession to me? Also, Mary Trump responded to the Orange Ogre’s garbage – she is clearly angry but accurate. John Pavlovitz responded “Trump Derangement Syndrome Is Real. He and His Supporters Have It.” which I have also been thinking for some time. Joyce Vance also had words – and also provided the meme I have placed below the videos – quite a contrast.

Yes, this is a Colorado story. And I hope and pray it stays that way. Because if it makes it to our current SCROTUS, there will to pay throughout the nation.

There’s no link for this story – it was an email from Tim Walz’s reelection campaign. It made me laugh. It’s short, so I’ll just quote the text in full (without the donate page):
“Normally, when someone is going through a fast-food drive-thru, they’re eagerly awaiting a delicious burger and some crispy french fries. Not Mike Lindell though. When he’s going through a drive-thru, he’s getting his phone seized by the FBI.
“You read that right.
“Mike Lindell’s conspiracy theories caught up to him in 2022 in a Mankato Hardee’s drive-thru, when his phone was seized in relation to a federal investigation into his acts to undermine the 2020 election.
“We can say this for sure: Governor Walz has not had his phone seized by the FBI in a Hardee’s drive-thru. Have you?
If you’re with Tim, and haven’t been surrounded by FBI agents in a fast food drive-thru because you’re being federally investigated — chip in $5 to keep someone who has from becoming governor of Minnesota.”

Yesterday, Tina Peters was convicted on 7 (out of 10) charges, 4 of which were felonies. Ten out of ten would have been perfect – but this is pretty good. Since I didn’t follow the exact charges, it may be very good. Certainly it makes her a felon, and convicted felons can’t vote, until (and unless) they have completely satisfies all obligations imposed (such as parole successfully completed and no unpaid fines.) She will likely appeal, and want to vote while it’s pemding, and i don’t know what the rule is on that. Also, she can’t legally leave the country (most other countries would not have her anyway) until all obligations are satisfied. And she probably knows all that, but may still get a few surprises.

Nice for me to have someone whose job is to evaluate the media saying what I’ve been saying for years: “fair” and “balance” are not only not synonyms, they’re virtual antonyms when one “side” lies constantly and the other is a struthful as it possibly can be. That does a real disservice to viewers who just want to know what is happening.

Kevin Roberts’s (the architect of Project 2025) book has been postponed, and will now not be published in September but in November, after the election. But I hope and believe it’s too late for that. The full project, over 900 pages, has been made public on the internet, and just about everywhere you turn, you’ll see someone else (with credentials) offering to explain the worst parts of it. And now, even their secret training videos have been exposed by Pro Publica.
