Yesterday I fell even further behind.  By the time I returned home from pulmonary boot camp, I felt pooped and went to bed.  So, I’ve gone two days in a row without replying to comment or visiting blogs.  I shall, at least, reply to all comments today and visiting blogs tomorrow.

Short takes:

Has the Nevada Leg Hound grown a pair?  If you remember, the Senate Finance Committee’s health care bill was so bad, I named it BARF (Baucus against a real fix.)  Now I’m naming the Senate Finance Committee’s jobs bill BARF2.  Almost immediately after release, Harry Reid scrapped it, because it was loaded with GOP giveaways, including tax cuts for big corporations and even an extension of the heinous PATRIOT Act’s most undemocratic provisions.

Bill Clinton is recovering well after surgery, in which he received two stents in a coronary artery.  I wish him a speedy and complete recovery.

The five largest health insurance companies earned record profits in 2009 by dropping 2.7 million clients and denying them coverage.

Yesterday I did my online grocery shopping, when I returned from my volunteer work.  That left no time to even reply to comments here.  Today is pulmonary boot camp, so today I may do no better at all.  I will reply to every comment by the end of Friday.

Yesterday I went to my Pulmonologists office.  If you remember, I had a cat scan awhile back, and I learned what the cat had to say.  First, I do not have cancer.  That’s welcome news indeed.  Second, I’m ugly.  Since I already knew that,  it’s no big deal.  By the time I got back from there and visiting blogs, I only had time to reply to comments here.  Today I will fall further behind in returning blog visits, because it’s volunteer day at the therapy group for former prisoners.  Please be patient.

Yesterday I caught up on comments early and planned to visit blogs before the Super Bowl, until blindsided by the news of the death of a very close friend.  I hope to do better today.

The Saints beat the Colts 31-17.  The game was much closer that the score makes it appear.  It was an excellent game which I enjoyed as much as possible under the circumstances.  The New Orleans fans may stop celebrating in time for Mardi Gras, but I doubt it.  I’m pleased with the outcome.  That city had needed a break ever since Bush and the GOP, through their gross negligence, stood by while the city drowned.

Yesterday I stayed caught up with comments, returned all pending visits to blogs and visited a few more.  I’ll try to do so today, but have some errands to run.  Of course, today is the highest of holy days in the First Church of the Ellipsoid Orb.  There shall be a great sacrifice to the Orb.  Some think saints will sacrifice little horses.  Others think it will be the other way around.  Of course I shall be enthralled in deep religious contemplation.

I watched the Mooseolini Show last night.  Ignorant as she is, she is a powerful public speaker.  Were I completely ignorant, she would appeal to me, because she is quite convincing, in the absence of factual information.  It appeared that she is trying to take over the Teabagger movement.  Did anyone else notice that she kept glancing at her hand during the Q & A period, as if she had notes there?

Yesterday I spent most of the day replying to comments and returning visits.  I’m pretty well caught up and plan to continue that process today.

Over at Faux Noise, they’re in heat, so they’re getting ready for Valentines Day in their own unbiased way.
