Yesterday I managed to get caught up with my replies to comments and I even managed to visit one blog, where the author was feeling down.  Her state suffered a severe infestation of pig on Tuesday.  I’m gradually starting to improve.

The guys from Red State Update are so stupid this weekend that it’s hard to tell the difference between them and real Tea Baggers until the end.  If you’re not familiar with them, this is satire.

My Medicare card arrived yesterday.  I spent my limited recourses of energy starting to get health care squared away after going virtually without for years.  Thus I didn’t even reply to comments here, let alone visit.

I’m not going to dedicate an article to election coverage.  I anticipated the results in NJ and Virginia.  I was pleased with the 23rd of NY.  I was saddened over Maine’s proposition one.  While I agree with the right that people don’t deserve special right just because they are LGBT, I also recognize the statement as the smoke screen that it is.  Permission to marry the consenting adult of your choice is not a special right.  It is equal protection under the law.  Maine became the 31st state to vote to deny a basic Constitutional right to LBGT Americans.  Shame!

I’m still under the weather and spending most of my time in bed.  I hope to be making rounds again soon.

Today is election day for some local races, and the pundits are proclaiming that they will provide a forecast for the congressional elections next year.  I’m calling bullshit!  The President’s party ALWAYS loses the governorship of Virginia.  Don’t know why, but check the record for the past 40 years.  NJ local politics revolves around which party has been most recently caught with their finger in the till.  The only race that is at all predictive is the NY 23rd Congressional District.  We can predict the GOP Reich will continue to drive reasonable Republicans from the party.

I’m afraid to report that I’m still down and limited.

Yesterday was a sad day at the First Church of the Ellipsoid Orb.

Broncos7-Ravens30

I’d love to offer an explanation, but I can’t.  The Ravens so badly outplayed the Broncos that the game was never a contest.

Yesterday I felt exhausted from lack of sleep due to coughing, so I did not get out to visit other blogs.  I shall as soon as I feel a little better.

If you haven’t voted yet, please do.  I’ll be changing the poll tomorrow.  Any Suggestions?
