Yesterday I did catch up on comments and visited about half the blogroll.  Today I have pulmonary boot camp, so I’ll have to see what’s up when I return.

Today’s took me 3:36.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

Yesterday I said that Israel’s approval of more illegal settlements in Palestinian territory was intended to kill the peace process.  It did.

John “C Street” Ensign is in more trouble.  Previously undisclosed emails have revealed even more attempts on his part to illegally procure lobbying work to pay off his lover’s unhappy husband.

ES&S has been attempting to acquire Diebold and gain control of over 70% of out nations voting machines.  DOJ announced they will block parts of the deal on antitrust grounds.  This will make election theft more difficult for Republicans.

Yesterday I had a bad air day.  When I returned from my appointment, I felt so winded, wheezy and drained that I could not focus.  I spent most of the afternoon in bed.  I’m not feeling much better today, so I think I’ll have to forego my volunteer day with the therapy group.  I hope to at least catch up on comments.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:30.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

Here’s the ultimate reason to pass HCR.  Rush Limbaugh says that, if it passes, he will leave the country!

SCOTUS, aka the Extreme Court, has agreed to hear Fred Phelps’ case.  Phelps is pastor Fuehrer at Westboro Baptist Church, infamous for protesting at military funerals and claiming that the death of our troops is God’s judgment for of homosexuality, because “God Hates Fags”.  Phelps was teabuggering before there were Teabaggers.

Yesterday I caught up with comments and with returning visits.  I have an appointment today.  Afterward I have to prepare some work for tomorrow’s volunteer work, so I’ll see what’s left when I’m done.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:46.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

It’s Mooseolini Day.  The Tundra Twit took a metaphor from Isaiah out of contest to justify scribbling on her palm.  In the process, she compared herself to God.  Then she admitted that she used to slip across the Canadian border for health care.  What a hypocrite!

Yesterday I spent the bulk of the day working on the website for my volunteer group.  I did keep up on comments and even started to visit other blogs, but I made the error of closing my eyes to take a small cat nap.  That was it for the day.  I’ll try to get some visiting in today.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

It took me 3:32, but the subject matter gives me an unfair advantage.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

In spite of a spate of sectarian violence, the people of Iraq voted yesterday in their parliamentary elections.  Results will not be available for several days.  I wonder if Diebold ink company managed to deploy invisible ink.

From an article in the Huffington Post, “When the most radical person on the scene is Paul Volcker, it tells you just how politics have moved to the right.”

Yesterday I stayed caught up on comments, but got no visiting done.  I spent almost the entire day on website design for my volunteer group.  I’ll do at least as well today.  I still have a lot of work left to do.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

It took me 4:28.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

Michael Moore has sent a letter to President Obama offering to replace Rahm Emmanuel.  Forget it, but what a lovely thought.

Donors have started to desert the GOP, following the revelation of their unconscionable fundraising strategy.

Yesterday I kept up with comments, but fell behind on returning visits, because I was working on the blog and on the volunteer website.  Today, I should at least stay abreast of comments.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

It took me 3:35.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

If we did not already know that Faux Noise is the GOP Reichsministry of Propaganda, Sean Hannity just proved it.  In an arse kissing interview with Jim Bunning, Hannity inquired, “How many votes do we have?”

The Boys at Red State Update are getting ready for the Oscars.

Yesterday I surprised myself.  Despite the enhanced interrogation techniques employed at pulmonary boot camp, I still managed to catch up on comments and returning visits.  I think I can today, but I have a lot of web site design to do for my volunteer organization’s web page.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

It took me 4:11.  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

A man named John Patrick Bedell approached the Pentegon and, when asked for ID, shot two police officers.  The officers returned fire, critically wounding Bedell.  His reason for the attack is not known.  Please keep the officers and their families in your hopes/wishes/prayers.

Bart “Coat Hanger” Stupak, until recently a denizen of C Street, threatened to kill HCR, along with twelve of his DINO cohorts, unless his anti-choice language is included in the final bill.  He may be bluffing, because he refuses to name them.  If he has twelve, let him reveal their names, so they can face our wrath.

Yesterday I managed to keep up with comments, but had no time for visiting.  While I was researching, someone in the building kept overloading the electrical system, so I lost power over a dozen times. :-(  As a result, I may have missed something important today, and there will be no short takes.  Today I have pulmonary boot camp followed by an appointment, so I’ll do well, if I keep up with comments.  Tomorrow should be better.
