It’s a BIG NEWS day, here in the CatBox. I’m still waiting for pics from WWWendy, but I have been accepted as a Resident of Ivy Court Senior Living in Clackamas, OR. It’s a mile from where WWWendy lives. Today’s schedule has changed. WWWendy and the Providence Hospice Nurse are coming instead of my Providence Shower Aides. Apparently WWWendy and the Nurse were in contact and the Nurse was helpful in arranging my placement, so my earlier dissatisfaction was an error due to ignorance on my part.

It’s a more contained day, here in the CatBox. I did not Republicate yesterday for the first time in ages, so I need to be careful not to overdo it the other way and find myself with OIC again. I had lots of good rest yesterday and plan more of the same for today. Tomorrow the Hospice Shower Aides are coming. After they leave, I can rest, because WWWendy is doing my grocery shopping this week and bringing the food Saturday, when she comes again on Saturday. Otherwise I’m waiting for news to pass along to you. Happy Hump Day!

Republican Accountability Project also has 6 new ads each calling out a dfferent Rep by name. I suspect there will be more, since these six are merely the worst of the worst.

Meidas Touch – this is 9 minutes at regular speed, and I’d recommend 75% personally. But ut does have a great overview of Florida’s response to CoViD-19, and Gov. DeSantis generally.

Ring of Fire – HR1/S1 shenanigans

Corey Ryan Forrester – “Youth Pastor Steve” In case you haven’t heard this story, the shoes are real, and they are Nikes, but they are Nikes altered by a third party before being offered for sale to the public. Nike had nothing to do with the alterations.

Yesterday was a strange day here in the CatBox. The Hospice Nurse was unable to come, so I actually got to stay in bed and snooze until WWWendy got here after 1:00 PM. It was the most sleep I’ve had in weeks, and God knows I needed it. When WWWendy got here, I had a shower and prepared for the end of the month. Tomorrow is another relative rest day and the Hospice Shower Aides come on Thursday. WWWendy will do my grocery shopping and bring them Saturday. Beyond that, we’ll just have to see what the cat drags in. Tuesday is Flush Your Republicans Day. I would LOVE to have no Republicans to flush.

It’s another Republicosis day here in the CatBox. Both WWWendy and the Hospice Nurse are coming, and I’m waiting to learn if WWWendy could coordinate the times. On the plus side, my system is getting used to Methadone. OGIM! (Oh Great, I survived until Monday).

PHP is a programming language used to build websites. We have it at all through our hosting partner, BlueHost. In order to update it, we have to go through Bluehost. During his life, TomCat was the only one who had access to our account there. I (JD) am now the only one. I have been to BlueHost and investigated updating our PHP to 8.3 or even to 8.1. I found instructions to do so - in fact, I found two conflicting sets of instructions. I went through one set of the steps and got the message that Our site could not handle 8.3, but that it had successfully updated to 8.1. I then went back here to see what it looked like. But I couldn't get in - either as an administrator or as a reader. It was just gone. I had to reach BlueHost by phone. It was determined that Politics Plus is in fact not compatible with any version of PHP newer than the one we have. BlueHost therefore uninstalled it for me, and the site came back to normal. Of course, like everyone else, I care about security. But I also am aware that TomCat elected to use different providers for several of the services that BlueHost provides, for instance backups. We are backed up daily - but not by BlueHost. However, out PHP is through Bluehost. I feel that if they are not worried about the older version, I am not going to worry about it. I believe that our security here is all or mostly through WordFence, whom I trust.
