Yesterday was Guy Fawkes Day. I lmow the picture didn’t look much like the masks – but then the masks don’t look much like the man. I’m always aware of Guy Fawkes day -not because I hare Treason (although of course I do), but because the 5th of November is exactly 6 months from the 5th of May, which is Virgil’s and my anniversary. We did not plan it that way – it just happened And it’s always good for a laugh or two.
This is one of Andy‘s best. He had me LOLing multiple times.
As a native of the South, and a former DOJ prosecutor, Joyce gets the legal points of what’s going on here – and how long, at a minimum we’ll have to wait. Mary Peltola;s race is a bit different – they have ranked choice voting, and there were four or five candidates on the ballot, and that’s a lot of math. And they may also have to wait for some ballots – until thw 10th, IIRC.
This, of course, is just Robert Reich’s opinion. But Robert Reich tends to have good opinions. So I thought I’d share it.
