Yesterday I started out tired, for I did laundry as I was writing Monday Night. I slept late, filled out the paperwork for a routine medical test (took three hours), and ran errands.  It was extremely hot, and today will be hotter. I’m current with replies, but had to be brief.  Today I’ll be out for that appointment and have to get up early.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:15 (average 5:24).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Countdown: Worst Persons in the World

Weren’t they all most deserving?

From Common Dreams: Egypt lobbied the more than 100 members of the Non-Aligned Movement on Tuesday to support Palestinian statehood at the United Nations this month, and said it believed a majority would do so after a two-day meeting of the group in Serbia.

Goof for Egypt!

From MSNBC: Ed Schulz covers Charles Koch at their secret donors’ retreat.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Isn’t that the most ludicrous excuse?  The original Iraq War, indeed!

  1. 4:47 Not too bad.

  2. 4:58  I am 76 out of 250 (304)…and #3.

  3. Those Koch brothers are evil, despicable bastards, and so were all the attendees at their secret function. They all belong in jail at hard labor!!!

  4. Worthwhile noting that two of the Guest Speakers at the super-secret Koch Confab were none other than Govs. Chris Christie and Rick Perry.

I wonder where exactly do the Koch Brothers list ownership – lock, stock and barrel – of the Repubican Party on their 1040 Forms.  Would that go on Schedule D, “Capital Gains & Losses” … or Schedule A under “Gifts to Charity”?

  5. I like Keith Olbermann — such a refreshing treat!  I have enjoyed everyone of his reports that I’ve seen, but this is the best.  Made me laugh — not the content but his delivery.  The content was spot on!

I hope this bodes well for Palestine.  I support creation of a Palestinian homeland and I hope that the US does the right thing by not vetoing its creation.  With all its problems, (Baby Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al re Torture), the US does not have the right to stand in moral judgement of Palestine and hold a hammer over its head.  Israel needs to learn to play nicely in the sand box.  Interesting comment that I hadn’t thought of before — Israel’s current claimed borders are not recognised by anybody but them so they aren’t a real country either, as they claim Palestine is not.  Hmmmm. . .

The Koch Brothers — take ’em out and lynch them! (politically)  Like any dangerous snake, they need to be defanged!

    Cartoon — right on!

Puzzle — I’m still doing them.  I’d be faster if they were pieces on the table rather than a computer screen.  My mouse drives me crazy.
