Wisconsin is just the tip of the iceberg in the Republican scheme to establish a 1,000 year Republican Regime of one party rule through busting unions, and with them, Democrats’ ability to run competitive political races.  In Ohio, the Senate just passed a horrid union busting bill and use extraordinarily sleazy tactics to bring it to the floor.

3unionThe Ohio Senate on Wednesday narrowly approved a sweeping bill that would weaken the powers of public employee unions to negotiate contracts, propelling Ohio into the vanguard of states seeking to revise public-sector labor laws.

The vote came as union supporters protested the measure for a second day on the grounds of the Statehouse in Columbus. The GOP-sponsored bill passed the Senate 17 to 16, with six Republicans voting against it.

As the roll call finished, dozens of union supporters in the Senate gallery chanted "Shame! Shame! Shame!" Screeches and shouts echoed down the corridors of the Statehouse, where hundreds of opponents of the bill had gathered for the day’s events.

The bill next goes to the House, where it is expected to pass, and then to the desk of Republican Gov. John Kasich, who is expected to sign it… [emphasis added]

Ed Schultz has the details on how Republicans got this bill out of committee, by shamefully replacing members of their oen caucus.

  1. A power grab like I have never seen , nor would have thought conceivable- This is fascism ;a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

    • Phyllis, that is modern fascism. Classical fascism is a political system, usually totalitarian, in which the only access an individual has to power is as a member of a group.

  2. I agree totally with Phyllis. Those bastard Republicans won’t be happy until everyone in the country except their corporate masters is working 96 hours a week for $3 per hour!

  3. Take MI$EREPUBILKAN$ DOWN!
