Here are the results of our “Control of Government” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

Since our polling site no longer enables us to copy and paste your poll comments, you may read them here.

All of us think Democrats will keep the White House, and 75% of us think Democrats will take the Senate back.  But only 28% of us think Democrats will win the House.  I voted with the majority.

We have a new poll up for you.  Get into practice.  Vote!

  1. My comment refreshed my memory that I only predicted POTUS

  2. I think we have a shot at the Senate, but I don't think it's by any means certain.  I might like to try whatever those who think we will take the House are smoking.

  3. I voted for all three! I think people are sick of the do-nothing Congress and are ready for a change!

  4. Your poll didn't leave room for the truly pessimistic: none of the above. I sppose I've been coming to these political pages far too long, because by now nothing coming from America surprises me any more, and with the Democrats browbeaten for years now, nothing out of three wouldn't surprise me either. But not to worry, I haven't started to save for a one-way ticket to Mars yet, so I'm still hopeful the Democrats will see the light, get behind Bernie and put their shoulders to it.

  5. I voted for the Presidency and the Senate, I sincerly hope that is right.

  6. Republicans cn'y fix the Presidential vote yet.  Hugs to all!

  7. Vivian, I agree with your point that people are sick of the do-nothing Congress.  However will that turn into a higher Dems voter turnout?  That is what the big question is to me.  It has not done so yet.  Add to that all the voter suppression legislation in the states.  The divide in the House is too great for a "wipe the slate clean" election win for progressives, but the Senate is within reach to be taken back.
