The reason I keep posting articles about Republican hatred and bigotry is that Republicans keep crawling out from beneath their sheets and hoods to provide me example after example.  In this latest, Newt Gingrich has once again flirted with birtherism to emphasize Barack Obama’s Kenyan roots.

GOPRacism Since the beginning of the Obama presidency, right-wing media — especially those who work at Fox News — have been carrying out a campaign of not-so-subtle race-baiting.

Today, Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich took this campaign to new levels, reportedly telling the National Review that Obama has pretended to be “normal” but that Obama actually seems to be engaged in “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior”:

Citing a recent Forbes article by Dinesh D’Souza, former House speaker Newt Gingrich tells National Review Online that President Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.

Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”

“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”

So the Republican mantra that only white is right goes on.  Gingrich’s hateful charge is absurd on its face, because Obama’s Kenyan father took no part in his upbringing.  It would surprise to learn that Obama had even heard of Kenyan anti-colonial behavior before Republican racists used it against him.

Of course the reason for such tactics is clear.  Republicans have nothing on which to run other than hate and lies.  Their new plan for America is the same as the old plan:  More tax cuts for the rich and corporate welfare, less services for the poor and middle classes, and zero regulation of corporate criminals.

Every Republican in office is one Republican too many!

  1. Newt and his wife should go to hell. This so called Man with ideas is the poster boy of Bad. He’s the kind of guy I used to beat the shit out of when I was a kid. Just saying.;)

    • Heh! That’s how I think of Newt; he was the bratty little kid who always got his lunch stolen!

      • Many people in Republican politics seem to have power and control issues of the type that stem from the stolen lunch type of scenario. It’s a shame that the little giis rls on the school bus picked on Newt and his ilk. 😈

  2. Nigger Newt practices American colonial ambition born from the old European model of empiricism. The only difference is he now wants men of all colors and nations including Americans to be slaves to his masters. I saw this happening during his time as speaker of the house and his contract with America became right aisle obstructionism of what is good for the nation following Reagan’s plans to enslave us all through changing rules and laws that worked for all. The only problem is now you can not dismiss these assholes as simple lap dogs anymore. They have aged and become big dogs on the right and the left wants to stay on the motherfucking porch cowering in fear. The president may be the biggest dog in the pack but when is he going to really start to lead, when is he going to come down off the porch and quit being accommodating to these barkers led in the backroom by cowards like Cheney? You can be a mastiff but if you sit on your ass letting them nip at you, you become practice for the pit bulls.

  3. D’Souza made the same claim about Obama’s supposed anti-colonialism at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference this weekend. Are they trying to get a meme off the ground?

  4. So, your side is concluding that Newt is a white supremacist (“only white is right”) because he is agreeing with a person of color (Dinesh D’Souza)?

  5. Newt – that old dog? Someone hasn’t taken him out back and shot him yet? He hasn’t had a new idea since he was born. And the Contract On America? Please. On the plus side no one listens to him anymore. On the down side, he’s still talking. Dumass! 🙄

  6. Lisa — More people listen to Gingrich that you think. He’s worth keeping an eye on, especially if he does something crazy like running in 2012.
