From The New Yorker: As new details emerge from this week’s summit in Singapore, the White House has confirmed that Donald J. Trump unilaterally offered to let Kim Jong Un have Mike Pence as his personal manservant.
The offer reportedly came after Kim spoke glowingly to Trump about the Vice-President’s obsequiousness, sources said.
“Even by North Korean standards, Pence puts my toadies to shame,” Kim reportedly said.
Once the necessary paperwork is squared away, Pence could begin bowing and scraping in Pyongyang as early as next week.

Incidentally, my impression was that Hillary, Colin, and Condoleeza did not, none of them, use personal email accounts, as Comey did. They used a private server which was dedicated to government business and government email accounts. By all means correct me if I am wrong.

And, no, Rosenstein is not the FBI director. Another problem with the FBI’s image, not mentioned in the report, is the naming of the building after the Machiavellian scum bag Hoover!

My beloved brother’s Memorial Service will be this Monday. It will be in the Mausoleum, which is air conditioned (at least somewhat). But will include a brief graveside service.
It will be a small gathering since his ashes will be interred next to Mom’s, and he hasn’t lived in the city we grew up in since the 1960s. Mostly just family and a few friends.
I’m hopeful that by next Friday I’ll be back to doing either “Friday Fun” or “Saturday Smile”.

MSNBC — When it comes to the email situation, is this one of the IOKIYAR scenarios? I agree with JD that Clinton and others used private servers while Comey used gmail or other such email platform on a public server. For someone so concerned about perceptions, this definitely is strange to have let slip.
The New Yorker — I hope Drumpf told Kim there is a “No Returns” policy! LMAO!!!
Think Progress — A true Axis of Evil — Drumpf and Kim Jong-Un! Drumpf is, at this point, a dictator in waiting but is getting closer to being a maniacal dictator like Kim. Right now, the constitution stands in his way as well as those willing to oppose him. But with Republicans toadies playing their power and greed games, things could change quickly. I should remind Republicans that that even Kim’s generals etc and family members are known to “disappear” so I doubt toadie Republicans would be safe from Drumpf’s reach.

It is unfortunate that you did not get a decent sleep. But I definitely understand the hay fever issue. I could not ditch the hay fever symptoms yesterday as I went about my business. The cottonwood and broom are still especially bad right now. I actually got a good night’s sleep last night but I also resort to using trazadone if I don’t need to be up early. Having said that, it is all in the timing of its use. Great that it is not addictive, but the ensuing good sleep is addictive! I hope tonight is better!
MSNBC: I can understand that the FBI in this media age was/is worried about its image. Only a few months ago, when Drumpf went in full attack, it was remarked upon the irony that old hippies were now defending their arch-enemy FBI. The FBI also must have felt very uncomfortable under the constant pressure of Republicans and Drumpf to look into Hillary/Obama/Democrats/Black Lives Matter/…anything on the left really. The FBI appears to have fought very hard to become independent truth finders in the past decades, and believed they had succeeded, but now they must have thought they started to look like government bloodhounds again. So they tried to booster their image (no one else would) but failed miserably as amateurs. Stupid, messy and with dire consequences, but not criminal. Comey’s use of personal e-mail accounts is another kettle of fish; black kettle, that is.
