It’s another busy day here at the CatBox. Store to Door delivered my groceries, and I have put them away. It was warm and not raining last night, so the homeless in the street below partied noisily until after 3:00 AM. WWWendy is coming this evening to de-stink the TomCat, so I really need a nap this afternoon.

From NPR: A man whom police had identified as their top suspect in a string of deadly bombings in the Austin, Texas, area this month killed himself early Wednesday by triggering an explosion in his car as officers approached the vehicle to make an arrest, police said Wednesday.
The dead suspect is Mark Anthony Conditt, a federal law enforcement source has confirmed to member station KUT.
There are only two things I know about this horrid bombing spree. The bomber was Caucasian. He won’t be making any more bombs. RESIST!!
From CNN: Rep. Dan Lipinski, a centrist [reactionary right], anti-abortion rights Democrat, survived a progressive primary challenge from Marie Newman on Tuesday for his Chicago-area House seat, CNN projects.
Lipinski was ahead of Newman 51% to 49% with 98% of precincts’ tallies reported, according to Edison Research. That puts his lead at about 2,124 votes.
His win comes despite an intense effort by pro-abortion rights and women’s groups — including Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America and EMILY’s List — to purge the party of the anti-abortion lawmaker in a reliably Democratic district.
Sad news. As much as I hate everything Lipinski stands for, I would hate it even more if Republicans hold their majority in the House because Lipinski loses. RESIST!!

NPR – He was 23, home-schooled, unemployed, was considering a mission trip, and a “conservative” blogger. “Conservative” has come to be the politically correct (i.e., polite) way to say “guanopsychotic.”
CNN – Sean Casten, who won the Democratic primary in the 6th district, is at least a climate hawk. And there are 114 other districts which look possibly winnable. I hope we can hold Louise Slaughter’s district in New York, may she rest in peace. There really isn’t a whole lot of spare time to grieve over this loss.
Cartoon – Someone commented that those of us who supported and even joined in at the time must feel like Sisyphus today. [He was the fella condemned to push/roll a yooge boulder up to the top of a mountain, only to see it roll back all the way to the bottom, and have to start over.]

NPR: Little else than what you’ve mentioned is known about the bomber. The police is very reticent about who he is and what motivated him. Perhaps that’s because they’re still looking for possible accomplices and don’t want to give them any clues to how close they’re getting. But when more becomes known, it’s highly unlikely he/they will be called terrorist(s). Not if he’s Caucasian.
CNN: Sad that Lipinski won over Newman, even if it was only a narrow victory. But then “the only Republican on the ballot in Tuesday’s primary was Holocaust denier Arthur Jones.” Things could get even worse.

RWW — Forced??? Wallnau is greatly mistaken spinning his own deranged take on the student protests. The student protests were a grassroots, that is a student led, response to the Parkland murders of 17 students and teachers. Yet still in the shadow of that shooting, there has been another in Maryland! If this right wing nut job thinks his view is Christianity, I want no part in his christianity. The real Jesus was a radical, a revolutionary, a “librul” in his day who challenged the right wing authorities who tried to keep everything the same focusing on obeisance to the Roman governor, power and greed. Doesn’t that sound like Republicans!
NPR — A terrorist he is! He still has the population concerned that there could be more bombs in the delivery system, and that there could be accomplices ready to carry on. I don’t think I have heard one word from Drumpf on this Caucasian terrorist yet he still thinks a “big, beautiful” wall on the southern border will keep out the rapists and murders. Deluded!!! The US should tackle some of their profound social problems and maybe such violence will be reduced.
CNN — Sad, but what can a person do except get out and vote to keep Republicans out!
