I started using the term Republican Reich in early in the regime of Crawford Caligula. At that time, it was satirical, tongue-in-cheek. But as time went on I recognized that establishing a Republican Reich, a totalitarian fascist state in which elections exist for show only and the outcome is predetermined. Never has that come closer to fruition that it is today under Fuhrer Donald Trump.
An international politics expert who studies authoritarian regimes said President Donald Trump was already taking steps to gather tyrannical power — and he called on Americans to stop him.
Brian Klaas, an expert on global democracy and political violence, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Americans should worry about the Trump’s willingness to flout the law and attack democratic institutions.
“I’m worried about it,” Klaas said. “Retweeting a Britain First account linked to neo-Nazis and provoke a spat with our allies. You have demonization of the press and also attacking CNN, saying we should boycott them. There (are) constant ethics violations, violations of the Hatch Act.”
Klaas, the author of “The Despot’s Accomplice: How the West is Aiding & Abetting the Decline of Democracy,” said the White House press secretary had given an “Orwellian” response to questions about those anti-Muslim videos Trump retweeted from a British fascist.
“Sarah Huckabee Sanders says it doesn’t matter if it’s true, what’s true is what the president says,” Klaas said… [emphasis added]

Even without re-tweeting a Britain First account from a convicted-of=hate-crimes felon, it was obvious how like the Third Reich this regime (I cannot call it an administration. And, though there are some very funny jokes about it, it’s not a jpke, and it hasn’t been since last November.
Scarborough did so much to help Trump get elected, it’s about time he started trying to help him get ousted. That said, he is at least doing it now.
MSNBC was showing the headline, earlier, seen at the gym’s bank of TVs: W.H. Defends Trump’s Re-Tweeting of Anti-Muslim Videos” When is the last time this W.H.failed to defend a tDump idiocy? Well, it IS his W.H.
And, now McCain has signaled that he will support the Tax Scam! ‘Nuff said!
He’s out of control, it’s frightening actually. Every.Single.Day.

RESIST is the word! Sign all the petitions you can, keep calling your government officials, make sure that you cast an informed vote, get your kith and kin involved, and make sure that you have comfortable shoes. We’re in for a long and bitter fight.
Klaas comes up with the solution: there’s a line drawn in the sand and refuse Drumpf and his cronies to step over it. But it seems Drumpf – or rather the people behind the dotard – are apt in having Americans fight among themselves which line to call Drumpf out on having overstepped. I wish Americans found a leadership that united them against the assault of Drumpf AND the Republicans on their democracy and end this before this ends in another civil war.
