Lyin’ Ryan (R-WI), Bought Bitch Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Donald Putin’s Puppet Trump (R-RU) tried desperately to kill those too poor and/or ill to afford to pay for health care, so they could spend their care money on welfare for billionaires.  They failed, and because they failed, they are not only desperate for a win, but also, raving to empty the pockets of the poor and middle classes for billionaire subsidies.  So Republicans will be spreading far and wide, promising to lower YOUR taxes.

Republicans will be vigorously selling tax reform over the August recess, following the release of shared tax-reform principles and the Senate’s failure to pass even a scaled-down ObamaCare repeal bill.

Now that GOP leaders and the White House have announced a consensus on goals for tax reform, they are hoping to get voters excited about forthcoming legislation. And they’ll have business groups and conservative advocacy organizations helping them in the efforts.

The campaigning on tax reform was going to be in full force even if the Senate had a successful healthcare vote. But the failure to repeal ObamaCare makes passing tax-reform legislation even more crucial, as Republicans want a legislative success to tout for the midterm elections.

The healthcare defeat “put pressure on getting a victory” on taxes, said Marc Gerson, chair of Miller & Chevalier and a former tax counsel to the House Ways and Means Committee.

Some GOP lawmakers have continued to express an interest in working on healthcare, but congressional GOP leaders have signaled that they are ready to shift to other priorities…

RepubliSpeak Dictionary: Lower YOUR taxes
Massive tax cuts for people in the top 0.1%, modest tax cuts for the next 0.9%, and tax increases for the bottom 99%

Dust off your Ka-shit detector!  You’re going to need it.

  1. The hell we raised for keeping ACA and against “Trumpcare” clearly worked. Even the “skinny repeal” failed. There may yet be hope for the USA. The people united will never be defeated!
    RESIST AND PERSIST!

  2. These three are arrogant, abhorrent people, and they are void of any morals, or any traits of caring for the American People. And they DON’T care!

  3. stand strong, stand together, listen to Tom et al and resist, don’t get complacent………

  4. What everyone else said – plus, watch groups such as Americans for Tax Fairness, MoveOn, the Nurses’ union that is pushing the Robin Hood tax, and pthers, to sign every petition, write every comment, send every letter, and, if possible, make every phone call.  Daily Kos generally has some of its own, and the Peoples’ Email Network has a direct fax system to Congress (plus their emeils are delightfully snarky and worth reading).  Members of the House and Senate, not even my own, also often set up petitions.  Of course they want you to donate, but it’s not a requirement.  We can’t all be out on the streets or lobbying in their offices, but plenty of signatures support those who can.

  5. This bunch of scum lives in a bottomless hole of cess.

  6. Republicans only represent the wealthy and themselves despite their constituency make up.  Not only that, they lie like there is no tomorrow.  I hope that Collins and Murkowski will show the same courage on tax reform as they did on healthcare.  And although the bombastic Fuhrer that they and the Democrats let down the American people, they did not!

Wouldn’t it be great to send the Republicans into the midterms without any substantive legislative wins . . . no healthcare bill, no tax reform bill.  2018 could almost become a reversal of 2010.

It is interesting that one of the rallying cries of the Revolution against King George III was “no taxation without representation”.  The same could be said today of the members of the 99% who live in Republican districts.  They are not getting representation . . . George III has been replaced by a bunch of swindling, greedy Republicans.

    Resist, Persist and Remove!!!

  7. The GOP, but not Drumpf, had a hard time lying about Republicare, because nobody knew what each of the many versions entailed until it was brought to the floor minutes before voting. They had to stick to their pre-election attacks and lies about Obamacare. With tax reform however, the GOP and White House, aided by business groups and conservative advocacy organizations (also mostly funded by business groups like the Kochs), can lie their a$$es off to their hearts content, so the 99% needs to be extra vigilant about these tax “reforms”, a subject they’re less interested in than Republicare until the bailiff comes knocking.

    RESIST & PERSIST!

  8. Hurried Hugs! 23

  9. The groups that showed up at their Senators/Representatives home office needs to be done in the same way for this bill. We need to show enough is enough, KILL THIS BILL!!!
