  1. Take good care, Tom.
Rest, rest and rest some more!

  2. 4:26  Still chilly for me.

It's good that Wendy is coming.  I trust her to contribute to your resting.  It's sad that such a birthday as tomorrow will be marred by your feeling so poorly; even if you improve dramatically you won't be at 100%  I'll put up my birthday greeting now.  It will probably be tomorrow before you see it anyway.

    But still RESIST weakly!

    (for March 13, 2017)

    • I just saw this and felt the need to put it up at Care2.  It's something we here at PP have – personally? – suffered from, in that it affected some of our regulars, and therefore also those who have stayed but have lost them.

You don't need to be a member to look and follow the link.

      • I understand that FB's Zuckerberg has taken on the task of addressing the fake news that clogged FB during the last US election. It will be interesting to see his procedures and policies regarding this fake news. But it also means that FB users, really everybody, should use their critical thinking skills and common sense (I know, those 2 are often in short supply!) to verify stories.

        Excellent piece JD!

        • Thaanks Squatch!  The impression that I got was that the trolls were less afraid of Bernie himself and more afraid of his supporters going to Hillary.  In other words, yes, you may very well attack what you aren't afraid of, in order to weaken what you are afraid of.  It's called "strategy."

  3. I was very late for yesterday's personal update and very early for today's, with only about 3 hours in between, so I'll just repeat part of what I've said before.  Stay in bed and focus on getting better, TomCat.  I hope you feel better soon.

  4. Puzzle — 3:41  I tripped over a piece of driftwood!  Even sick, your puzzle times are awesome, Puddy Tat!

Cartoon — And in 2017 we have the Twitter Rant replacing the fireside chat.  Twitler must be so pleased with himself.  I wonder if future presidents will follow Twitler's MO.

I remembered to change my clocks last night, then set my alarm so I'd be up in time for church, and then after all that, I did not hear the alarm.  I missed church.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Well Puddy Tat, I hope you're heeding all the advice we give you — stay hydrated, take your medicine, and above all else, REST!  When you've done that, do it some more.  The news isn't going anywhere, nor are we.  Take care my feline friend.

  5. Get well soon, TC!

  6. Thanks all!  Sick hugs.

  7. That damn daylight savings time! It's way past time that rid of that useless custom! That's all it is, really. Most people hate it! I, for one, am one of those people!

    Well. Hope you feel better!

    • In my position, going to all-standard time would cost me probably $200 per year.  Going to all-daylight time would save me an additional $400 a year over that.  I'd happily do away with the changing if we could just stay on Daylight.

  8. Rest and recuperate, that's an order!
