OGIM!! (Oh God, it’s Monday!!) I’m off to see Christine, my Ophthalmologist, to devise a plan for restoring my vision. When I get home, I’ll be fully dilated and even blinder than I already am, so I will complete this now. When I upload it, you will know that I have arrived safely. I should be able to post normally tomorrow.

Glad you arrived at home safely. Normally I have my eyes dilated, but this year, they did not do that because they took pictures of the inner eye which shows just as much and more accurately. It was great not having to wear sunglasses on a cloudy day because of the dilation. I was with my pastor today and we blocked out the memorial service, That being done now and having chatted with him, my anxiety level has gone down. Once everything is over, I will be able to "breathe".
Rinus van der Lubbe is a very good example of what could happen in the near future in any country that is moving to the right. The Nazis tried and executed him for high treason for setting the Reichstag on fire and because he was a member of the communist party they used his arson to go all out against any communist "plotting" or "attack" on them. At the same time the Communist made Van der Lubbe out as an idiot and a Nazi provocateur, who by setting the fire to the Reichstag gave the Nazis the means to incite fear about the threat of communism. Adolf Hitler persuaded President Paul von Hindenburg to sign a decree curtailing some civil liberties, paving the way for the suppression of thousands of communists and other groups targeted by the Nazis.

That it didn't really matter what the background for Van der Lubbe's deed was, became clear when the German Courts finally exhonorated him in 2008 and overturned the guilty verdict.

I happen to like the White House. It is a symbol representing USA. It also contains the history, artifacts of a bygone eras.
It is the current occupants, not-my-president which cannot be named, of the White House that needs to be "destroyed", not the White House itself.

I was thinking of the occupants, not the building. So I stand by my suggestion, provided all the residents are in residence and all the exits are blocked off.
