RepublicansOnParade3

Here is the ninety-first article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Trump supporter and Republican demonstration organizer, Andrew Anglin. He is so honored for a for his violent hatred against Jews. Hat-Tip to Lona for sending me the article.

1229TrumpNaziA neo-Nazi Donald Trump supporter is planning an armed march to terrorize Jews in a small Montana town next month.

As we reported last week, Andrew Anglin began targeting Jewish residents of Whitefish, Montana, in response to reports that Sherry Spencer, the mother of white supremacist alt-right founder Richard Spencer, was facing backlash from locals over her son’s views.

Anglin, who publishes The Daily Stormer [Republicans delinked] website, posted the names, photos and home addresses of Jewish residents, calling for people to "take action" against them. Spencer reportedly lives in Whitefish part time and is considering running for Congress there.

Now, Anglin says he’s planning an armed march through Whitefish in January "against Jews, Jewish businesses and everyone who supports either." A web graphic announcing the march (pictured, with faces of residents blacked out) included a photo of the entrance to Auschwitz and a yellow Star of David with the word “Jude” printed in it.

“Montana has extremely liberal open carry laws, so my lawyer is telling me we can easily march through the center of the town carrying high-powered rifles,’" Anglin wrote, according to ABC Fox Montana. "Currently, my guys say we are going to be able to put together about 200 people to participate in the march."

Anglin said he plans to bus in "skinheads from the Bay Area" for the march, which he said will be "an absolutely massive victory for our cause," according to The Forward [Republicans delinked]… [emphasis added]

I hope this is the worst Trump has to offer, but every time I do, the Fuhrer proves me wrong.

  1. o.m.g. Tell me the police are NOT in on this! This is horrifying!!!
"This is the Jews for you, people," Anglin wrote. "They are a vicious, evil race of hate-filled psychopaths."

Anglin's got it all WRONG-it's THEM who are vicious, evil psychopaths!!! Who is going to stop the fomenting of the hate??

I can't go to Montana, but I sure am concerned for their safety. Please keep me posted on this.
Thanks, Lona for H/T and Tom for post.

  2. we can easily march through the center of the town carrying high-powered rifles

I hope a couple of them accidentally blow off some of their own more valued body parts.

Pat B:  I don't know about the rank-and-file police, but I've read that the local authorities, at least, are solidly against this.

  3. Oh, Lord, no, it won't be the worst.  Not by a long shot.  I hope that progressives will show up in large numbers to stand between the Nazis and their prey.  Come to think of it, this could be a good project for veterans, like the ones who went to Standing Rock.  I suspect that without pushback they will escalate bigger and faster than they will if pushback is there.

    RESIST !!!

  4. As per Pat B.'s comment, so much of the right's vitriol is nothing but projection!

  5. The New Civil Rights Movement:  I shared this so more people will be aware of the awful things happening in our country daily.  I never dreamed we would come to a place that acting like a Nazi was 'okay".  This has to stop, and Trump needs to denounce these people that he has given the impetus to act so horribly.

  6. I'm afraid youre parade will be overflowing soon, because Drumpf has made cowardly hatemongers come crawling from under their stones where they were abiding their time. Drumpf has shown them that he doesn't renounce them. In fact he's done quite the opposite and embraced their fascist ideas on more than one occasion. He's nor going to denounce them now. If anything, when opposition becomes stronger he'll actively engage these neo-Nazis to "keep order", just as he has done before in some of his rallies, having learned that in Fascism 101, lectured by A.H.

Drumpf has no idea that he's not opened a box of loyal followers, ready to do his bid, but Pandora's box instead. Now it's the Jews, or the Muslims, or Hispanics, but if he makes one wrong move, they'll turn on him like the rats (sorry, rats) they are. In the meantime, sane and decent Americans need to stand up to people like Andrew Anglin and

    RESIST!

Anglin is already retreating under pressure and as was to be expected probably doesn't have the guts to hold his demonstration. It would however be proper if the counter demonstration did continue and people showed their solidarity with the harassed Jewish community in Whitefish, no matter how small it is.

  7. Trump's motto: "Make America Hate Again" … and again!  … and again!  … and again!

    From CBC:

Co-director of the Montana Human Rights Network Rachel Carroll Rivas says her organization stands against hateful ideology like Richard Spencer and encourages the local council to take a position against him, including Spencer's mother Sherry.

She tells The Current's guest host Piya Chattopadhyay that Richard Spencer's mother did denounce her son's hateful ideology but says "unfortunately at the same time, she also made false accusations of being targeted by the community."  …

It was after Sherry Spencer's statement came out that online targeting of Jewish people in the community started happening.

Caroll-Rivas says it was Andrew Anglin of the website The Daily Stormer who targeted members of the Jewish community using photos, names and businesses with Jude and the yellow star over pictures of their faces.

A protest built on a lie! . . . and Anglin is stoking the flames.  Perhaps it is time for the Montana National Guard to be present during the protest, if it happens, and arrest protesters.

Anglin and Spencer are so full of bull shit!

    RESIST!!!

  8. I am beyond disgusted.  Somebody, please take Trump out of our misery – I don't care how.  Poison, bullet, bulldozer – just give us some relief – quickly.

The Rachel Maddow newsletter had the headline:

Trump's so vain, he probably thought Obama's speech was about him

Obama denounced hatred, primal tribalism, and the demonization of diversity. Trump assumed the rhetoric was about him.

    • The only problem, Arielle, is that it keeps getting worse the farther down the line you go (unless it happens before he takes office, and then I have no idea.)  But – Mike Pence?  Paul Ryan? Orrin Hatch?  After them, Rex Tillerson?  Steven Mnuchin?  Mad Dog Mattis?  Jeff Sessions?  Assuming they all get confirmed and have birth certificates?  Just because they wouldn't be attention grabbers like the Cheeto-faced ferret-wearing – er, umph – doesn't mean they wouldn't all be disastrous and in some ways more so.

  9. Thanks all!  Hugs!!

  10. OMG! That sounds like some of the idiots that live in OK! They would do something like that! That's why I live out in the sticks and at the end of the road! I have to live here. Been here most of my life. BUT, I don't have to like it here!!!
