Feeling a bit rushed for time about now – and you haven't even gotten arount to putting up your Christmas lights outside yet?

Well, apparently a number of people have come up with an easy solution …

Oh, and for you who live in the Southern tier of states, a word to the wise WRT outside Christmas decorations:  There's a good reason why you should NOT be adorning your palm trees with lights …

  1. Just love these "dittos", Nameless. Though I doubt you'll see many around the adorned palm tree. Personally I'd put up a sign saying "not that" or "a bit of that", because most of the decorations these signs point to are over the top to my taste, and there's no competing with them should you want to. The idea is also very green; imagine how much energy (yours and electricity) you save with just a little arrow 😀

    • I do SO agree, Lona!

And the "disease" is spreading to France – totally outside the culture! (Christmas is traditionally really a family deal …)

Maybe lots of "dittos" might discourage the growing number of house exterior-decorators?!

  2. I may use this idea next year.  Since we became an empty nest house, the decorations have gone to minimal.   I have neigbors who light up the sky!

  3. There are a few in town that "light-up" the skies with their celebration of Christmas. I have not seen any "dittos". lol. Here is a link of a few Bay Area night-lighters:

  4. o.m.g. Hilarious!! I'd be the 'Ditto' house, though, in years past, when I could get up & down a ladder, I lit the whole front of the house. Now I have a string of them going in the bushes in front. Here's a link to the many Christmas lights nearby. We (family) are going to the 'Lights of Tejas' in Giddings tomorrow night.

Thanks, Nameless for post, and Joanne for cross posting.

  5. Love the "DITTO"s!!!  LOL!!!  That would be me on a heavy decorating year.  I don't put up lights or decorations.  In the past 20 years, I think I have only put up my "tree" twice.  As to the last pic, the fellow might get a "Funniest Lighting Display" or get a bylaw ticket for public indecency.

  6. I do think that last picture portraying Trump in lights, got the hair color wrong. devil

  7. Thanks to all of you for the most enjoyable discourse above 😀
