Although I caught a nap yesterday afternoon, I slept poorly last night and feel tired today.  Unfortunately I have a community meeting here in the building during my normal nap time this afternoon.  The bad weather is forecast to end at noon.

From YouTube (TYT Channel): Elizabeth Warren Paving Way To Impeach Trump

I fully agree that this law "has to happen", but before the Republican Criminal Congress would do it, Satan’s demon team will win the Stanley Cup in a home game. The Constitution is about to become more violated than a $2.00 hooker.

From National Popular Vote: Please Sign the White House Petition Asking President Obama to Support a National Popular Vote for President Before He Leaves Office.

I predict that, as soon as the results are certified on Friday, the uselessness of the Electoral College will have been proven.

From The New Yorker: After having difficulty persuading prominent entertainers to participate at the event, the Trump transition team announced on Sunday that the Russian President Vladimir Putin would sing at Donald J. Trump’s Inauguration next month.

In a brief statement from the Kremlin, Putin said, “I will be most delighted to perform for my comrade.”

The choice of Putin raised eyebrows in Washington, since the Russian, while famous for invading neighboring countries and imprisoning political opponents, is not particularly well known as a singer.

The Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway pushed back against such criticism during an appearance on CNN. “If we limited ourselves to people who had talent and experience, that would disqualify half of our Cabinet,” she said.

Andy, Will Putin (R-RU) be accompanied by the KKKhorus Girls?

  1. 5:37  I finally found the star.  I thought I was looking for the moon.

YT/TYT – There are petitions to sign on this also.  I agree it's not likely, but that is no reason not to RESIST! by supporting it.

    NPV: Signed.  And verified.

TNY – They'd better not try to hire Pussy Riot for backup!  He might not cancel, but he'd abduct them and lock them up!

Cartoon – OK, that's a conspiracy I can get into.  Not the theory, the actual conspiracy.

  2. YT: I watched and signed. If there are any more out there, send them my way. thx.!

NPV: Signed, and verified. 5,516 signed (so far).

TNYer: Wouldn't surprise me to see both of them P & DT arm in arm strolling down Pennsylvania Ave.

    Cartoon: Absolutely!!!! You bet!!!

Sorry about your guys, mine won by a Santa whisker. Whew! Hope that you get some rest after your meeting. Take care, enjoy your evening, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Like TC, KCMO (as was much of the Midwest) got hit by Old Man Winter handiworks.  Unfortunately our snow (we only got 2”-3”) was not only accompanied by subzero temps – but was preceded by what we all dread the most: freezing rain from Friday night through Saturday morning, before turning over to snow.

So from Friday afternoon until this afternoon I did not venture out.  And there’s a reason I’ve been AWOL.

I did put my time to good use.  On Saturday I baked SEVEN loaves of banana nut bread for my annual neighborhood Christmas gifts.  It took 14 ripe bananas (they’ve been sitting in the pantry for weeks – literally), 10 cups of flour, 4 cups of sugar, a dozen eggs, 6 cups of toasted walnuts chopped up, a pound of butter, baking soda, baking powder and vanilla … and pretty much the whole day to get it done!

I’m rather proud of how they turned out  …

[Sorry the picture is so big – but you can't choose the size on a Comment photo embed.  And yeah, these two are sitting on the dining room table.  Trust me, you would NOT want to see what the kitchen looked like.  Well, maybe you would – but I would NOT want to show you what the kitchen looked like.  ;-)]

So Sunday was spent cleaning the kitchen.  I love cooking and baking – but I hate, loathe detest, despise and abhor cleaning the kitchen.  The only good thing is that it’s so nice when it’s done.

(And you bet I’m keeping a loaf for myself and one for my Mom!)

  4. Puzzle — 3:49  Twinkle, twinkle little star . . .

TYT — Warren's proposal has to be passed into law if for no other reason than to prevent this very thing from happening again.  Personally, I think a snowball has a better chance of surviving hell than this legislation has of being passed in the current Congress, but that won't always be true.  Get to work NOW as the midterms are only 2 years hence.

National Popular Vote — You have that right!  As I understand from the news, 169 voted for Clinton, 305 for Drumpf.  I don't know where all the other votes went unless they were west coast votes and not yet available when the figures were released.  Seemingly, only 2 faithless electors even with Michael Moore's offer to pay the fines.

The New Yorker — Wouldn't it be rich if Drumpf threw a party and nobody showed up!  I could get behind that idea.  "The Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway pushed back against such criticism during an appearance on CNN. “If we limited ourselves to people who had talent and experience, that would disqualify half of our Cabinet,” she said." — that is so true.

    Cartoon —

    RESIST!!!!!

. . . and that is no conspiracy theory!

We had a third dump of snow between 300 and 600 hours this morning.  What a mess!  I had physio but was late as I was blocked in by 3 large trucks and then I couldn't get up the hill out of the parking lot (almost but not quite).  Two young fellows shovelled infront of my front tires which gave me the traction I needed to move.  Temps are high at 2 C (35.6 F) and apparently not going low.  Now we will have some flooding . . . it has already started.

  5. I wish Warren's law would be passed!

    Petitions signed.

The New Yorker:  Andy may be on the trail of a real scoop here.

    Cartoon:  Yes, we do!

  6. Wow. What a day. We got out of the single-digits today, finally. There's a lot of difference between the teens and single-digits! Never knew that until the last few days.

Oh, Andy is a corker! He legs Drumpfenfarten to the wall every TIME!

    Have a good one, TC!

  7. "Tis a dark, dark time in our history… we have an idiot about  to take over and a batch of billionaire CEO's to help him.

I refuse to buy anything Trump makes, stay anywhere Trump owns, watch any TV Trump has a part in, avoid as much of his face as I can, and resist, resist, resist.

  8. Thanks, hugs and amen!
