Not many people get to my left without sailing off in to the land where they need rooms with nice soft walls.  Noam Chomsky is one of them.  For example, he favors open primaries, which I oppose, because I've seen the primary damage Republicans do in Open Democratic Primaries, when their own candidates have no primary opposition.  Noam has a message for those voters who failed America, by refusing to help prevent Trump from winning.

Noam Chomsky Drops Truth Bomb on Trump's Election

Noam Chomsky has message for Trump apologists and normalizers post-election. "They're making a bad mistake," Chomsky said in an interview with Al Jazeera's Mehdi Hasan. While Chomsky initially backed Bernie Sanders in the primaries, he encouraged his supporters to back Clinton once she received the nomination. "There are two issues. One is kind of a moral…

I hope that in future elections the pie in the sky voters, who actually made a difference in several states this year, have learned that holding the feet of an imperfect candidate to the fire is better than handing the country to a monster.

  1. "Could have been organized to keeping her feet to the fire?"  COULD have been organized?  The left damned well WAS organized, and getting more so, to keep her feet to the fire.  Now we are in shock to the point we practically must get disorganzed before we can reorganize.  Otherwise, it couldn't have been better said,  But if Americans had "any moral undetstanding," Trump could not have been elected.

  2. The voters that stayed home and the ones that voted AGAINST Hillary should be so proud of themselves! Now we have a bonafied nutcase that will be in CONTROL of the NUCLEAR weapons codes! That should scare the crap out of EVERYONE!!!

If the recount occurs, what will Trump do if he actually loses? What will the country do? Will it really start the Civil War that is just bubbling under water right now? Things right now are really dire. The Electoral College could vote their conscience instead of the way their state came out? Too many things can happen between now and Jan. 20! And people are acting like everything is settled. When the Electoral College meets and votes, I may have either a HORRIBLE birthday present, OR one that will make smile, ear to ear, for at least a couple of years! That is until the lawsuits get to court and things change ONCE AGAIN! Throw it in the air and see how it lands every day, cause that's what I figure is gonna happen!!!

  3. I agree with Vivian!

  4. I like Chomsky and find that I agree with him on many things, including this.  It must be the Canadian socialist in me.  An article from Squatch’s Open Thread 26/11/2016, the author in The Nation article concluded "What’s certain is that they’re headed for an epic case of buyers’ remorse."  I am confident that those who voted for Drumpf have no idea how huge that buyer's remorse is going to be because they are wearing blinders.  God help the world!

  5. It's hard to argue with someone who says it all so well and there is no need to argue with Noam Comsky because he's absolutely right in what he brings to the table.

  6. Thanks and tired hugs to all!
