Lu never showed up yesterday.  Yesterday I finished my corporate taxes (annual registration and reporting) for our prison volunteer group.  There were no taxes to pay, of course, but serving others cost’s us $60.00 in fees.  Tomorrow I have an appointment with Sarah, my Prosthetist, because Courtney (PT) thinks George has too much side to side wobble in the ankle.  That may limit me to a Personal Update tomorrow.  Lu has come now, and I’m a pampered puddy tat.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:25 (average 5:30).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Bernie won the Wyoming caucuses but did not cut into Hillary's lead. For the nomination, Bernie needs 1,314 more delegates. Hillary needs 626. For the majority of pledged delegates, Bernie needs 989 more pledged delegates. Hillary needs 739.

From Daily Kos (Classic: 10/2015):

Overnight, Petra László became one of the most despised people in the world after she was caught on video tripping a Syrian refugee carrying his son. She lost her job after the video went viral and rather than reflect on her poor life choices and try to move on, she's decided to sue. And you won't believe who she blames for her downfall:

The Hungarian camerawoman who tripped two refugees fleeing from police has claimed she plans to sue Facebook, as well as the man she caused to stumble and fall as he carried his child.

You read that right. She's planning on suing Syrian refugee Osama Abdel-Muhsen Alghadab, the man she ruthlessly tripped as he was running with his son in his arms. She's upset she is still despised in her home country:

Poor Hungary! Isn't it sad that they have Republican bigots too?

From Raw Story: President Barack Obama on Sunday linked Fox News, which he suggested was a “Republican news channel,” to the success of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.

Obama is wrong when it comes to Democrats having our own TV station too. While it's true that MSNBC has Hayes, Maddow and O'Donnell, they give Morning Joe one more hour of air-time than the other three combined.

  1. Too bad they didn't ban military-style weapons for the public back then!!!

I gotta find my headphones so I can watch the video of Pres. Obama. I'll find them and listen to it!

    Great one, TC!!!

  2. I saw Politico and HuffPost showing 18 delegates for WY with Clinton getting 11 due to the 4 superdelegates and where districts divided I guess (doesn't seem like a 56-44 vote difference should end up 7-7 somehow…)…also read where there were issues related to some people voting via surrogate…given how many counties had less than 10 votes and a difference of one vote in a number of them, that issue could change results it seems…

Hatred and bigotry concerns us all no matter where…

I agree with you on unequal news distribution.

  3. DK: What a low life, and mean!! I hope she gets awarded nothing, but the 5 years in prison that she justifiably and so richly deserves!!

Raw Story: I didn't know that about Morning Joe as I don't ever watch it.

    Cartoon: LOL!! Tom.

Hope that you get George up and running and comfortable for you to wear. Sounds like you have a busy day ahead. Like most of us, I hate filing taxes. But…like a dentist's visit, it must be done. ugh!  Hope that you have a great evening, good luck tomorrow. Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  4. 5:20 (5:30)  These sweeties could come to my barn any time – if I had a barn.

    Count – Still going.

DKos – Any news on the progress of that suit?  BTW, maybe cognitive dissonance is even less a good thing for a journalist than for some other occupations.

Raw Story – We certainly do not have our own channel.  I suppose MSNBC might be a reasonable facsimile if one is a Turd Way Democrat.  We do, however, have our own (on line) radio station now.  https://www.utalk.us/  And they themselves recommend http://act.tv/ for video.  Of course it is all home made.  But it is progressive.

Cartoon – Your chili secret is safe with me.

  5. 3:33 No owl fricassée for you Puddy Tat!

  6. DK: Ms. Laszlo deserves at least 5 yers in prison, and a very, very public trial.

I hope Sarah can do the right thing for George.

May Faux News die a fast death!

  7. So glad Lu came!

Real Clear Politics:  The super delegates will decide  and so far Hillary has the largest number.

Daily Kos:  I have no sympathy for this woman. She didn't realize that her act of cruelty was being filmed, now she is paying for it.

Raw Story:  I agree with you, TC, about MSNBC, but the Republicans can also count CNN as one of theirs now.

Cartoon:  Too bad  a lot of other weapons were not banned at the same time.

  8. Puzzle — 3:33 No owl fricassée for you Puddy Tat!

Real Clear Politics — If nothing else, Bernie's continued progress in the Democratic race, and the way that progress has been made, should be a clear sign that people want change.  Unbridled capitalism does not work for everyone (except the 1%).  Go Bernie!

Daily Kos — IMO, her lawsuit is without merit.  From The Daily Mail: "Opposition parties Együtt-PM and the Democratic Coalition also said they will seek to initiate charges of violence against a member of the community, which carries a sentence of up to five years in prison, against Laszlo."  I do so hope this comes to fruition. Republican indeed!

Raw Story — I thought Obama did well putting Chris Wallace in his place.  You're right about media ownership . . . Faux Noise is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Republicans.  I see Hayes, Maddow and O' Donnell more involved in fair jornalism than towing the Democratic line.

Cartoon — Some countries obviously didn't get the memo!  Your chili, that is a different matter!

  9. Too bad all cruelty isn't filmed and shown on tv – just maybe it would slow the meanness down a  bit.

  10. So glad Lu came after all, we can't have you mingle with others with matted fur and a slightly suspicious odor, TomCat.

Backtracking because Windows 10 kept presenting me with proxy errors all afternoon and I just couldn't reach anything outside Europe it seemed. So just a quicky again.

RCP: Despite winning in states, Bernie isn't gathering any delegates with it. 🙁 Mixed messages, not very encouraging.

Cartoon: Banned…that's a laugh. They're still being manufactured and used by any dictator who can get his hands on them.
