Today is a  very high holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, the Holy Light of Conferences meditations.  My Broncos are worshiping with the heretics from New England.  May my Broncos make then see the light.  In the late meditation cats and birds get together.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today;s took me 3:18 (average 6:16).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From isidewith, com (H/T Dave C): Answer the following questions to see which 2016 Presidential candidate you side with.

I side with Bernie Sanders on 98% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Hillary Clinton on 95% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
Note how close the two are.

I side with Martin O’Malley on 78% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election

I side with Jeb Bush on 27% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
Note how huge difference is!  What were your results?

From Daily Kos: David Koch is resigning from his post on the board at the American Museum of Natural History. For 23 years, everyone’s favorite “evil-twin” brother wowed the other board members with cash. That’s basically the only reason he was on the board and in his defense, it’s frequently the reason many people are on “boards” of anything.

The Koch family has spent millions funding climate change denier groups and disinformation campaigns, and scientists around the country have called for Koch to be removed from the museum board. Well, they finally got what they wanted — the American Museum of Natural History announced Koch’s resignation this week.

David Koch’s people want you to know this had nothing to do with the recent protests—of which the Daily Kos helped organize a petition that garnered around 350,000 signatures—on Koch’s position on the board. For example, 23 scientists came together to write a letter protesting David Koch being allowed to be near anything remotely attributed to ‘science’.

Kudos to Kos and the scientists. Koch is anti-science, Anti-American, anti-natural, and anti-history.

From Alternet: Cruz is a loner who’s willing to destroy institutions. Trump has spent his career using the federal government and making friends with big shots. Not Cruz. Most of his Republican colleagues in the Senate detest him. And Cruz is eager to destroy: He has repeatedly crossed to the other side of the Capitol and led House Republicans toward fiscal cliffs. In the Fall of 2013, Cruz’s strident opposition to Obamacare – including a 21-hour talking marathon — led in a significant way to the shutdown of the federal government.

Both men would be disasters for America, but Cruz would be the larger disaster.

This is just the fifth of five reasons from Robert Reich, the Reich on the left that is right, that Uranus Inspector, no matter how you spell it, is more dangerous than Hateful Hairball. Click through for the other four. Even the Republican Reich, the Reich on the right that is wrong, fears him.

Cruz wasn’t  inspecting Uranus at the time.

  1. I hope your Broncos won with a well played game, TomCat.

Insidewith.com:  I answered every possible question and surprise, surprise:

I side with Bernie Sanders on 93% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Hillary Clinton on 86% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Martin O’Malley on 68% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Rand Paul on 28% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election

I suppose as foreigner I can never side more than 93% on American issues.; it will surprise no one that I do not side with Bernie on supporting Israel's current administration and on a number of military issues. Nevertheless, Bernie can be my president anytime, so send him our way if Hillary becomes the Democrat's choice.

Daily Kos: So the Kochs can be antagonized, excellent! Now if only some politicians would take their cue from this.

Alternet: In the end, each and everyone of the clowns in tha car would be disaster as the next president of the US, but Reich is right in thinking Cruz is more dangerous than his arch rival Trump. Trump is so well known that America will instantly become the risé of the world as soon as he sets foot in the White House. Cruz, however is only world famous in America and it will take foreign leaders just as long as it'll take Americans to realize what viper they are dealing with and how destructive that man is going to be. By then Cruz will perhaps have done irreparable harm to America and the rest of the world.
Please save us from disaster and make sure that the next president is a Democrat, any Democrat, but preferably Bernie!

Cartoon: If the inspector had been there at the time, Voyager 2 had taken too wide a berth and would have been lost in space.

  2. thanks for astronomy reminder, I remember when it was launched and all the great fun pics they used to send out!  now of course the newer satellites and Mars rovers are just amazing……glad to see the museum is losing a Koch…..great news!

  3. I got the same scores for Sanders, Clinton and O'Malley. Imagine that! I got 5% for Cruz!

HALLELUJAH!!! The Evil Koch is GONE! Just had to put this out there!

    Love the cartoon!

    • Oops! Had to take that quiz for a minute. Missed about 5:00 of playing time in the game! But it is going GLORIOUS! Hope the second half goes like the first! Sacking Brady was two of the best plays I have seen all year! And the interception was FANTASTIC!

Gotta go watch the rest of the game!

  4. 4:42  I thnk some yellow paint got into the bearings because the wheel was difficult to turn.

  5. Well, it's half-time in Denver, and I expect that your fur is all glowing!

I did not dothe "Sign with" thing, may do it later

Cruz appears to simply be a sick fellow, but the name of his sickness is not as apparent as Hairy Rump's obvious Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  Cruz would seem to fit into a version of Anti-Social P.D., maybe with religiosity delusional stuff.

Koch supposedly once wondered, out loud, why so many people see him as a monster- maybe because he's tried to eat our democracy, like the mythical Fenrus ate the sun?  Do ya think?  POS!

Could we, maybe send Cruz to REALLY inspect Uranus, could we, huh?

  6. Isidewith: I side with Bernie Sanders on most 2016 Presidential Election issues–

I side with Bernie Sanders on 97% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Hillary Clinton on 95% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Martin O'Malley on79% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election
I side with Rand Paul on 31% of issues in the 2016 Presidential election

AlterNet: Cruz is out for himself. He doesn't care whose toes he steps on either.

Cartoon: Cruz should be made an 'honorary Inspector' of Uranus. Send him on the next flight. lol.

Congrats to your Broncos!! Close game, but they made it to the NFC Championship!!! Whew!! Got company, watching the birds/cats game, so I gotta run, enjoy your evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  7. What a GAME!!! Ellipsoid Orb Religious ECSTASY!! They sacketh the Brady so many times, I lost count! He hit the turf more than in any game I have ever watched!

I know your absolutely DANCING WITH DELIGHT!!!

    On to the next game!

  8. 97% Bernie, 92% Clinton, 77% O'Malley, Rand 30%…Jeb 18%

I also applaud science museums refusing corporate fossil fuel donations (my state and the UK include such examples).

If either Trump or Cruz is elected and actually does some of what they claim they would, there would be immediate grounds for impeachment…

  9. 5:53 (6:16)  Spinning my wheels.

I am not trying to drive you nuts counting my comments.  I am trying to stay logged in to be consistent.  But sometimes when I switch computers I don't immediately notice that the one I haven't used for a while has logged me out.  Sorry!

isidewith – Did this months ago and I may still have the record, but I thought I should do it again.
    Bernie 96%
    Hillary 90%
    Martin 71%
    next one Huckabee at 27%
As you say, BIG differences, all the way down to Ben Carson at 7%

DKos – He is still on the board of WGBH, which means Nova is tainted, and I believe Nature.  It would be nice to get those back now, especially since National Geographic is now tainted by Murdick (sic).

AlterNet – No question in my mind that Uranus Inspector is more dangerous than Hairball, and I am on public record with that.

Cartoon – (sigh)  Sure too bad he wasn't on that flight.

  10. I side with Bernie @99%

    "   "    "      Hillary@98%

    ————–O'Malley @85%

    ————–Kasich@39%

    ————–Jebby@30%

    ————–Hairy@15%

    ————–Cruzrot@11%

    ————–Paul@10%

    ————-DR. Poo@8%

  11. Congrats on the Bronco's win!

Isidewith:  98% Bernie, 95% Hillary, no need to list the Repubs the percentages were so small.

Daily Kos:  Good news, indeed.  The Koch's have too much influence everywhere, glad he resigned, and thankful for the folks at Daily Kos.

Alternet:  I read this earlier today and totally agree with it. Cruz is a disaster.

    Cartoon:  LOL>

  12. Puzzle — 3:08  I peddle twice a week usually for 40 minutes each time at physio . . . providing the knee isn't too sore.

isidewith.com — Bernie 93%, Hillary 90%, O'Malley 72%, Huckabee 31%, Jeb and Paul 24%, Trump 23%, Carson 15%  I do so strongly dislike Republicans, and only think these numbers are because they lie so often.  I am strongly left wing and moderately authoritarian ideologically which is to say that I tend to stand up and protect those that are oppressed or taken advantage of, and expect the government to do the same.

    Daily Kos — Good riddance!

Alternet — Any Republican is bad news, but of these two, Cruz is the worst.  BTW, Canada has a no return/no refund policy when it comes to Cruz.  Caveat emptor!

Cartoon — Wouldn't it be wonderful to assign Cruz to the one way Mars mission!

I heard the meditation filled you with ecstasy! . . . but it was very close.

  13. Thanks all.  The point of the quiz was so show how alike Bernie's and Hallary's positiohs are, and how different both are from Republicans!

    Hugs!!
