  1. Since this post is being made on the 10th, I will just put in a plug for the Marine Corps Birthday, which goes back to November 10, 1775.  Let's see, that would make us – 240 – no wonder I feel old.

  2. Thank you!

Last week, I was invited to the high school media class to share my experiences and memories of being a Navy Waves Veteran. It was my 2nd year to do so, and enjoyed the students asking questions and explaining some 'old' pictures of my younger years. Tomorrow, I will be going to one of the elementary schools for a Flag ceremony, and to listen to a WASP speak of her military time during WWII. She is 94 years old.

Since I share a birthday with the Marine Corps, I echo well wishers by saying, "Happy 240th Birthday, U.S. Marine Corps" Semper Fidelis!

    (I'm old…but not that old !!) lol.

  3. We can never thank them enough!

  4. Before I express my thanks, let me apologize for putting our soldiers in harms way.

I would much prefer that our conflicts not be so vague and that our endeavors more virtuous. And when the call comes, I would wish that we treat our heros, heroically once they return home with appropriate health care (physical and psychological) and that they should have the means to support themselves and their families in an appropriate manner.

Less sacrifice, more virtue – Thank you
