I’m writing for tomorrow, day 68.  I’m hurrying to finish before it’s time to meditate on the Holy Ellipsoid Orb.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:06 (average 5:20).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Ultimate Religious Agony:

p0111-Broncos13-Colts24

Short Takes:

From Daily Kos: George Zimmerman, 31, made his first court appearance on Saturday morning after being arrested by Lake Mary police on Friday evening.

According to Zimmerman’s attorney, the arrest was due to allegedly throwing a wine bottle at a girlfriend "several days ago."

Zimmerman was arrested in 2013 for alleged domestic violence against a girlfriend, although a Lake Mary police spokeswoman said "this alleged "victim is not the same (woman) as in 2013.

I wonder if this Republican hero used one of the guns Republican Ammosexuals gave him to replace the gun he used to murder Trayvon.

From NY Times: For all the clichés about pistol-packing Texas, the state is one of the few that has not yet succumbed to the gun lobby’s big push to let citizens carry handguns at the hip wherever they go. That may be about to change as the State Legislature convenes next week with open carry a top priority of the Republican majority and with Governor-elect Greg Abbott pledging to sign it into law. The result could produce a far from reassuring civic tableau if even a modest number of the 800,000 Texans who have concealed-carry licenses choose to strap their weapons on in public.

Who would have ever thought I’d have an opportunity to say that Texas is about to get more insane?!!?

From Washington Post: Mitt Romney sent a very clear message to a group of major donors in New York City on Friday: I’m thinking about running for president in 2016.  Then, as he knew they would, those donors spread that message to every media outlet in the country.

It’s a stunning reversal from public — and private — assertions from Romney and his allies that, after two runs for president in 2008 and 2012, he was absolutely, 100 percent done with running.

He etched his sketch and poof!! His is a face we know well.

Romney2Face

In fact, both are.

I bet they’re about to try it again.

  1. TY TC (God protect us from Rmoney!).

  2. 4:07 ~ You can have the tile fishies.

  3. Sorry about your Broncos.

Daily Kos ~ Georgy Porgy was released on $5,000 Bond on Saturday afternoon. what is the matter with these crazy women? "It's clear he hasn't been very lucky with the ladies the last few months," West said of his client." Excuse me! It seems the ladies haven't been the lucky ones. Next one may be keeping trayvon Martin company.

NY Times  Things are about to get even worse in Texas. I'm really glad my nephew and his partner moved out of there a couple years ago.

Washington Post ~ Deliver us from RMoney!

Cartoon ~ I am ashamed to admit that democrats held the majority then. But, they did pass it tin 1916.

  4. lol Romeny could not get more votes than McCain in  2008.  He must think he can beat a woman?

George Zimmerman just leaves a dirty taste period……

Cartoon   It's the only way they can beat us 2016

  5. 5:23 average now 5:24.  And you thought you had to bread fish to get them crunchy.

Daily Kos – I chuckled over "It's clear he hasn't been very lucky with the ladies the last few months," West said of his client."  No, attorney West, it's not he that's unlucky, it's the ladies.  Among a number of weird comments and somewhat saned responses, "kstenbch" hit the nal on the head with "The truth is George Zimmerman is a typical, ordinary, right wing, Southern American. His father was a Virginia Magisrate who gave his son a free pass and an excuse to go with it in every phase of life and whenever things got difficult or he got in trouble…. Zimmerman's father told him and treated his son as he treated himself, like the greatest thing since sliced bread, and his son believed it."

NY Times – Well, they may as well legalize it, they allow it.  One of the protest groups out there (if we can dignify them by using the word "protest") was "Open Carry Texas," wasn't it?

WaPo – It may be a reversal, but can the WaPo fairly call any reversal from Willard "stunning"?

Cartoon – Oh, that will be coming again.  Wonder whether, when it happens, will they let the elected women vote on it.

  6. Sorry you're sad about the Broncos, TC.  But the Packers beat Chris Christie's Dallas, so I'm happy!

  7. Zimmerman makes me think of the comments, often made by law enforcement and prosecutors, that even if an arrestee isn't guilty of these charges they are guilty of other charges we didn't get them on.

Wasn't one of those open carry protestors arrested for killing family recently?

Did anyone ever really believe anything Mittens ever said?

Goes to show what happens when those elected are not representative of those who live in their districts.

Some mourning is natural and those wild horses will ride again.

  8. According to Zimmerman’s attorney, the arrest was due to allegedly throwing a wine bottle at a girlfriend "several days ago."

I recommend main line prison for some justice… /s

  9. ANYONE remember "LET DETROIT GO BANCRUPT"???(Romney 2008!) Detroit is BOOMING,Motor show starts today.!.Good job for Romney that daddy was rich.as his son is a MEGA  A-hole, (and a coward to boot)

The clown car is getting VERY JUICY,Is there any evidence  of intelligent life amongst  the contenders?Darned if I know!.

  10. BREAKING NEWS:  I am probably not the only one here who got the email that Kari Brandenburg, DA of Bernalillo County NM (Albuquerque) has – wait for it – FILED CHARGES against two killer cops.  Details will be updated as possible at http://nmpoliticalreport.com/?p=714

  11. Daily Kos:
"He hasn't been very lucky with the ladies," attorney says of Zimmerman. Zimmerman does not have much much empathy to throw around. He needs to be behind bars for a long time. Zimmerman is a menace in everyday society. What woman would want to be with other than the notoriety of being with him. Struggling with his acquittal, my ass. The Judge hearing his case also ordered weapons surrendered.

    NY Times:
Texas as an ammosexual state as wanted by the Republican majority and with Governor-elect Greg Abbott pledging to sign it and decreeing it into law. The GOP/TP political hierarchy wants to create an ammosexual state in keeping with its motto, "Don't mess with Texass". They have definitely gone "bananas".

    Washington Post:
Romney is already a two-faced political pol as well as a two-time loser from 2008 & 2012. Jeb Bush is a no-no with many intelligent people who do not want another Bush in the White House. Someone suggested that Jeb would like to say that he never had a brother (ex-POTUS George W. Bush). Who can forget the remark Romney said about the 47%…

Romney, Bush begin battle for 2016
Suzy Khimm, Katie Packer Gage and Emily Tisch Sussman discuss a new report that things are heating up between Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush now that…

    Cartoon:
GOP/TP people wish that the women never had the right to vote. The war on women is high on the list of "reforms" that the GOP/TP wish to enact in 2015.

  12. Puzzle — 3:22  I'd like to see that puddy tat get anything but broken teeth from those fishies!

Football — Religious agony indeed!  I hear that the Broncos have fired the entire coaching staff, AND that Peyton Manning's future with the team is possibly in jeopardy.  Just go to show that you're only as good as your last throw!

Daily Kos — And with this and several other interactions with police, is there really any doubt that he was guilty in Trayvon Martin's death?  It seems at the very least, Zimmerman has a few anger management issues.  At least 'stand your ground' laws shouldn't help him this time.

NY Times — Insanity — Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  It seems that there is so much gun violence in the US that states would be wanting to curb it.  But no, they keep ramping up the gun rights in spite of the deaths.  I think that comply's with the definition of insanity.  BTW, would you please keep your damn guns in your own country.  We are seeing greater use of handguns in Canada and they are illegal here. Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Washington Post — Rmoney has an ego as big as all outdoors!  Flip-flop!  Flip-flop!  That is a sound we have heard all too often.  You know, some right wing nut jobs have gone on record as saying that Hillary, at 67, is too old to run for president.  Well Rmoney is 67 too, only he is 7.5 months older than Hillary.  How come he's not too old?  Oh right, it's an etch-a-sketch moment!

Cartoon — If they try it again, I'm with you ladies!  They can not legitimately prevent over one half the population from voting!  If the GOP does that, they'll also ban anyone that is not a white male over 40 from voting.

  13. So sorry about your Broncos.

Daily Kos:  Is Zimmerman going to have to kill someone to get put in jail?  Oh wait, he all ready did that and walked free.  How many more chances is that violent man going to be given.  AND WHY would any woman want to date him?

NY Times:  Is Texas longing for the wild west to return?  Why would they or any state pass an open carry law?  I was outraged when Ky passed the concealed weapons law here, but that did me little good.  The good ole boys prevailed in Frankfort.  I don't want to have to worry that someone will freak out at the grocery and start shooting.

Washington Post:  I thought his wife, Ann, had refused for him to run again?   His ego is too large to keep him from trying one more time.  I loved Andy's post about his taking the opportunity to alienate the voters AGAIN!  Of course, if he is the Republican candidate, that would put almost any Democrat in a good place.

Cartoon:  They would love to do it again.  The war on women is real.  They have spent more time on women's reproductive organs than they have the Keystone XL Pipeline.

  14. Thanks all.  Prison volunteer day tomorrow.  Pit stop.

My Oregon Ducks …um… well… lets say they dump trucked. 🙁

  15. Another very embarasing Donkey game.  No more pain till next year and you can damn well bet they're talking Super Bowl south of Federal in Denver.
