I bet you remember a Correspondents Dinner in which the ChickenHawk-in-Chief checked under the furniture for WMD.  That wasn’t funny.  Now we are blessed with a President that not only has an excellent sense of humor, but also, a skillful dry delivery. That’s enough of my words.  Enjoy his.

  1. This is very funny and there are no sacred cows!  Loved the line "orange is the new black" in reference to Boehner being in more trouble with his Republicanus/Teabaggers than Obama.  Also liked the line about having the podium flanked by 2 potted plants, and then showing a picture of Faux Noise with 2 males flanking a female . . . the inference being that the males were 2 potted plants.

    Very, very funny!

  2. That was President Obama as I like to think of him – intelligent and witty and so worth listening to!  I adored the 'orange is the new black' line too – soo good!  Thanks TC!

  3. Perhaps the reason the GOP hate this man so much is because he outclasses them… he is gracious, funny, informed, intelligent, and compassionate.  He doesn't need to be demeaning or angry like the GOP…. he doesn't need to strut or posture like the GOP…. his courage comes from backbone, not force.

Really enjoyed this, TomCat – thank you!

  4. He is good!

  5. Funny, no one liked the "orange is the new black" line when I thought of it and posted it here in I think it was December.  Glad it's come into it's own now.

Yes we are blessed, I love to watch this event… 🙄

  7. There is a group on Face book called, "I love waking up and Barack Obama is my president."  I agree. Bright, witty, intelligent and a quick honest smile.

  8. He is always a remarkable speaker, and shows a sense of humor that has been missing in DC for a long time.

  9. Enough funny to make it worth watching. If Obama ever tires of politics, he could make a second career as a standup comedian.

  10. Thanks all!  Since Clobert is moving to Leno's job, maybe Obama will replace him. 😉
