RepublicansOnParade3

Here is the forty-fourth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is former Defense Secretary, and extreme Neocon, Donald Rumsfeld. He is so honored for appearing on the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise, and having the audacity to accuse Barack Obama of incompetence, using the insulting Republican meme of comparing him to an ape.

rumsfeld_saddamFormer defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Monday attacked the Obama administration for failing to secure a status of forces agreement with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.

Rumsfeld, speaking on Fox News, said even a "trained ape" could do better.

"A trained ape could get a status of forces agreement," Rumsfeld said. "It does not take a genius. And we have so mismanaged that relationship."… [emphasis added]

The reason the Obama Administration has trouble with Karzai, and the Bush Reich didn’t is that Bush appointed Karzai to be a puppet dictator over Afghans, facilitate US corporate energy imperialism, and grow obscenely rich through corruption. Obama put the kibosh on that, so of course Karzai, a former UnoCal (now a subsidiary of Chevron) employee, rebelled against the Obama’s insistence that US funds benefit the ware effort and the Afghan people, not Karzai’s offshore bank accounts.

Rumsfeld, the Republican who set up the deal for Saddam Hussein to have Chemical WMD, and who helped lie our nation  into the failed Bush War for Oil and Conquest in Iraq, is a Republican hypocrite to insult Obama’s handling of Karzai, especially in such a vile manner.

  1. Sorry – too queasy to comment – they are SOOO disgusting!

  2. We do know that rummy is wanted in France for war crimes. Rummy almost got
arrested the last time he was there, in France, and barely made it out of the country.

""Rumsfeld must be feeling how Saddam Hussein felt when U.S. forces were hunting him down," activist Tanguy Richard said. "He may never end up being hanged like his old friend, but he must learn that in the civilized world, war crime doesn't pay.""

  3. Why is Rummy still running free? He should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.

  4. You just don't encounter poetic eloquence like this every day:

~~RUMSFELD: "Reports that say that I called Obama a “trained ape” are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know.  We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know.”

  5. We had a trained ape and George didn't so so well either…. obviously, Rumsfeld is suffering from dementia, something even much younger Republicans have

  6. We need a trained commando force a la Simon Wiesenthal to pick up these people and deliver them to the countries in which they will be well and truly prosecuted.  (One group offered Dick Cheney a free, all-expenses-paid, trip to Spain, which unfortunately didn't work, possibly because the ticket was one-way.)  Of course such a team would have to be made up of Progressives, and I don't want to lose any Progressive voters before November, so unless we can get help from other nations, we may be stuck for a while.

  7. "…We have so mismanaged that relationship…"  Rumsfeld about the relationship between the US and Karzai and Afghanistan.

Baby Bush and company, which of course includes Rumsfeld, in my opinion were managed (aka manipulated) by Karzai and the almighty dollar.  Being Republicanus/Teabaggers, they worship at the altar of power and greed which has blinded them to anything compassionate or truly meaningful (the good kind).  I may not agree with all of the Obama administration's policies and actions, but I whole heartedly disagree with all of the Bush administration's actions.

In my humble (or not) opinion, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and others should be tried and convicted of crimes against humanity.  May they enjoy a lengthy sojourn in a prison cell without their "fur lined underwear"!

  8. This comment isn't even "thinly veiled" racism, it is outright, in your face, racism.  The bunglers who got our country in this mess have nothing left to fall back on, they were so inept at governing because they spent so much time enriching their bank accounts.  The torturing they committed, the people they imprisoned with no right to representation, all the other war crimes they committed have all gone unpunished.  INstead, they are still allowed our air waves to tout their evil opinions.

  9. Thanks everyone.
