Elizabeth Warren surged ahead of Scott Brown (R-MA) in the polls yesterday, and Carl Rove, aka Turd Blossom, unveiled a thoroughly ridiculous attack ad against her.  In his earlier attack, Rove called Warren the intellectual godmother of OWS.  The new ad directly contradicts that, accusing Warren of being the Bankster’s butt buddy, opposing the American people. Say what?

9warrenDemocratic challenger Elizabeth Warren has taken a 7-percentage-point lead over incumbent Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), according to a new poll, buoying prospects for the Harvard professor.

Warren garnered the support of 49 percent of registered voters surveyed, compared to 42 percent for Brown, according to the poll released Wednesday by the Boston Herald and University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Those numbers represent substantial gains for Warren, who trailed Brown 41 percent to 38 percent in a similar poll in October.

While Warren’s 10-point-swing is troubling for the Brown campaign in its own right, perhaps even more troubling is that the senator’s favorability and approval ratings have also dropped substantially. Over the past two months, Brown’s job approval rating has slipped from 53 percent to 45 percent, while only 48 percent say they have a favorable view of their senator. That number is down from 52 percent in September.

Those who have an unfavorable view of Brown have ticked up from 29 percent to 35 percent over the same period…

Keith Olbermann interviewed Ari Berman, exposing the absurdity of Republican attack ads against her.

The notion that Republicans would spend Bankster bucks to attack Warren for supporting Banksters boggles the mind, as Elizabeth pointed out in her interview with Lawrence O’Donnell.

Corporate criminals and their Republican lackeys fear Elizabeth Warren like they fear no other.  We need her voice in the Senate!

  1. It boggles the mind to see the extremes at which these guys will go, even casting doubts on Warren being “sympathetic” with Republican ideals – what??? Actually making the Republican game play evil while promoting Brown – do they really think that will work? That’s plain STUPID, and unless Mass has truly dumbed down since I lived there (1/3 of my life) this is just not going to hold water – sorry Rove! But hey – who would have thought that Kennedy’s seat would EVER go to a Republican? – not the Commonwealth I’m from!

  2. I have faith that the good people of Massachusetts know when Carl Rove is spewing lies about Elizabeth Warren.

  3. I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

  4. I think Massachusetts voters are far too savvy, and the times are too desperate for them, to accept and believe Karl Rove’s blatant bullshit. It is high time that son of a bitch be sentenced to consecutive life terms for every single political lie he has told and every single dirty trick he has played in his long and very sordid career in politics. His running around free is cruel and unusual punishment for all the rest of us to endure!

  5. Desperate folk use the tactics of desperation aka lies and manipulation– Rove is a loose hunk of stool– (shit)

  6. Desperation is exactly what it is.  Well, what else have they got?  Their stop-bashing-the-job-creators schtick would be even less effective in Massachusetts than elsewhere.

Warren will go far, I think.  She speaks plainly and doesn’t talk down to people or hide behind platitudes.  I think the country’s ready for it.

  7. I SO wish Rove would be renditioned to some unfriendly country!!!:) Warren Rules!!!!:)

  8. You folks don’t understand, do you?

Rove can tell any lie he wants, because his fans don’t care whether or not he’s lying. These ads aren’t meant for US. They’re meant to keep every last knuckle dragger going to the polls. Which is why it is all the more important that WE never miss an opportunity to vote.

Look what happens when we get complacent. Pretty-boy centerfolds without a lick of sense wind up in high office.

  9. So Brown voted  with the Democrats on the confirmation of Cordray for the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  I wonder if he is getting nervous about his drop in ratings and Elizabeth Warren’s increase in her ratings?  He should be if he isn’t!

Rove is either crazy like a fox or demented. Running two different ads which contradict eachother.  Just goes to show how desperate the GOP is in Massachusettes.

    Go Elizabeth Warren!
