I\u2019m starting a new intermittent series called Republicans on Parade.  From time to time, I come across an individual who personifies what the Republican Party has become, and I plan to use this series to present them in all their Republican glory.  Our first Republican on Parade is former Republican Mayor of San Diego, Roger Hedgecock.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"RepublicanRacists\"Roger Hedgecock is a syndicated right-wing talk show host [Republican racist delinked] based in San Diego. For years, he was a regular fill-in for Rush Limbaugh<\/strong>, and before that he was a Republican mayor of San Diego<\/a> \u2013 briefly, that is. He was convicted of campaign finance violations<\/strong> and thrown out of office<\/a> only two years into his first term.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his program [Republican racist delinked] earlier this week, Hedgecock lamented<\/a> that \u201chatred of white people has now become an epidemic in this country\u201d and is even \u201cinforming political decisions that are made.\u201d The cause? President Obama and white-hating public schools.<\/p>\n

While most Americans see Obama\u2019s election as a landmark victory for racial equality, Hedgehock thinks it\u2019s tearing America apart at its racial seams\u2026<\/p>\n

…Further complicating Hedgecock\u2019s life-as-a-white-man is that public schools are teaching \u201chatred of white people\u201d and \u201chatred of white privilege.\u201d The curriculum, he argued<\/a>, is \u201cas anti-American, anti-West and anti-white as you could imagine.\u201d As proof, he cited a diversity program in Portland, OR schools that dared to mention that whites have traditionally enjoyed a number of privileges<\/strong>… [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
