Cantor and his office knew that they were not targets of the shooting, but they claimed otherwise to score political points.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: verdana; color: #242424; font-size: 8.25pt\"><font size=\"3\">This is a big deal. Cantor is the number two Republican. He speaks for the party. And he brazenly dissembled to the national press corps on an issue of life or death. It might not be fair or balanced, but he should be held to a different standard: truth and accuracy.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8.25pt\"><font size=\"3\"><span style=\"color: #242424; font-weight: bold\">Postscript:<\/span><span style=\"color: #242424\"> In related news, <\/span><\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whsv.com\/news\/headlines\/89167692.html\" target=\"_blank\"><font size=\"3\">officials have determined<\/font><\/a><span style=\"color: #242424\"><font size=\"3\"> that the gas line leading to the home of the brother of Congressman Tom Periello was severed intentionally. Tea partiers had urged members to &quot;drop by&quot; Periello&#8217;s brother&#8217;s home thinking it was the Congressman&#8217;s.
