{"id":9685,"date":"2012-12-05T07:45:47","date_gmt":"2012-12-05T15:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=9685"},"modified":"2012-12-05T09:10:48","modified_gmt":"2012-12-05T17:10:48","slug":"polls-can-be-most-entertaining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/05\/polls-can-be-most-entertaining\/","title":{"rendered":"Polls Can Be Most Entertaining!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I spent several years working in the opinion research field, so I usually dig below the surface into the methodology used.&nbsp; That can often be hard work, but every once in a while I get to see a a poll that&rsquo;s just plain fun, because it gives me a good excuse to laugh.<\/font><\/p>\n<p>PPP&#39;s first post election national poll finds that Republicans are taking the results pretty hard&#8230;and also declining in numbers.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"5Republican_Batshit_Crazy-2\" height=\"438\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/5Republican_Batshit_Crazy-2.jpg\" style=\"display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto\" title=\"5Republican_Batshit_Crazy-2\" width=\"600\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama<\/strong>. We <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicpolicypolling.com\/pdf\/2009\/PPP_Release_National_1119.pdf\">found<\/a> that 52% of Republicans thought that ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama, so this is a modest decline, but perhaps smaller than might have been expected given that <strong>ACORN doesn&#39;t exist anymore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Some GOP voters are so unhappy with the outcome that they no longer care to be a part of the United States. <strong>25% of Republicans say they would like their state to secede<\/strong> from the union compared to 56% who want to stay and 19% who aren&#39;t sure.<\/p>\n<p>One reason that such a high percentage of Republicans are holding what could be seen as extreme views is that their numbers are declining. Our final poll before the election, which hit the final outcome almost on the head, found <strong>39% of voters identifying themselves as Democrats and 37% as Republicans<\/strong>. Since the election we&#39;ve seen a 5 point increase in Democratic identification to <strong>44%, and a 5 point decrease in Republican identification to 32%<\/strong>&hellip; [<em>emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicpolicypolling.com\/main\/2012\/12\/republicans-not-handling-election-results-well.html\" target=\"_blank\">Public Policy Polling<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">First, major kudos to ACORN!&nbsp; Stealing an election over two and a half years after they ceased to exist is a world record for political achievement, especially considering that the Republican Party, the acknowledged grand masters at election theft, failed to do so.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">As an alternative to the second result, let&rsquo;s keep the states and let the traitors self-deport instead.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Finally, that 5% decrease means that the Republican Party has lost 13.5% of their numbers.&nbsp; How fortunate!&nbsp; May that trend continue!<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I spent several years working in the opinion research field, so I usually dig below the surface into the methodology used.&nbsp; That can often be hard work, but every once in a while I get to see a a poll that&rsquo;s just plain fun, because it gives me a good excuse to laugh.
