I admit that when Crawford Caligula stole the 2004 election, there was talk of secession on the left.  However, it was gallows humor.  I enjoyed posting a graphic back then of the United States of Canada (with blue states appended) and Jesustan.  However, the Republican InsaniTEA movement is actually serious about it!<\/font><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a closer look at the rationale this person had for secession.<\/font><\/p>\n

Disaffected Americans have created hundreds of \u201cWe the People\u201d petitions on the White House website following President Barack Obama’ re-election earlier this month. There have been petitions from each of the 50 states<\/a> requesting permission to secede.<\/p>\n

WKRG-TV managed to track down<\/a> Derrick Belcher, the man responsible for the petition<\/a> calling for Alabama’s secession.<\/p>\n

Gawker noted on Thursday<\/a> that the 45-year-old trucking company manager was really just upset because his Euro Details topless car wash had been shut down by the government. <\/p>\n

But according to Al.com<\/a>, it was the Mobile city government — not the federal government — that arrested Belcher and charged him with obscenity<\/strong> after the state of Alabama enacted an anti-obscenity law<\/a> in 1998.<\/p>\n

"The government ripped my business away, and now they’re choking America to death with rules and regulations<\/strong>," the secessionist explained\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earth to Bagger!  Earth to bagger!! Come in!  Hello?  Is anybody home?  For your information, if Alabama seceded from the US, you would be taking along the law that so upset you!<\/font><\/p>\n

All these people who have signed petitions to secede from the US are demonstrating that they are not the patriots they claim to be. They are disloyal brats, who did not get their way. They have clearly forgotten the 11th commandment.<\/font><\/p>\n
