Once upon a time, John McCain was a voice for sanity in the Republican Party, but since his failed bid for the presidency, he has devolved from McCain into McConJob, infamous for trying to put Drill Baby Dingbat a heartbeat from the oval office.  Joining a colleague of equal intellectual flatulence, Lindsey Graham, he attacked a fine public servant with false accusations, because she was a messenger.  In yesterday’s press conference Barack Obama shut them down.<\/font><\/p>\n

Obama accused Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) of trying to \u201cbesmirch\u201d the reputation of Susan E. Rice<\/strong>, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, and to hold her potential nomination as secretary of state hostage to their demand for a broad Watergate- and Iran-contra-style investigation of alleged intelligence and security lapses surrounding the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, which killed four Americans.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me<\/strong>,\u201d Obama said at his first news conference since last week\u2019s election. Glaring across the East Room of the White House, he called the accusations against Rice \u201coutrageous\u201d and said she had \u201cnothing to do with Benghazi.\u201d\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Rachel is absolutely correct that the attack by McConJob and Lindsey Poo against Rice are based on pure nonsense. For Obama to defend her and call out these two shameful hypocrites is most commendable. His refusal to abide non-issues from the Republican echo-chamber of InsaniTEA is a good sign that he will be stronger in his second term. He looked more like the man we elected in 2008.<\/font><\/p>\n

As for Republicans, they do themselves a disservice, when they do not take the time to learn what is true, instead of parroting the BS spewed by their own propaganda ministry, Faux Noise<\/em>. Calling Susan Rice "not very bright" smacks of racism.<\/font><\/p>\n
