{"id":9254,"date":"2012-10-27T08:41:09","date_gmt":"2012-10-27T15:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=9254"},"modified":"2012-10-27T08:41:09","modified_gmt":"2012-10-27T15:41:09","slug":"the-barrage-of-lies-thickens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2012\/10\/27\/the-barrage-of-lies-thickens\/","title":{"rendered":"The Barrage of Lies Thickens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">The Republican party must own a magnificent super computer, because nothing less could enable them to keep track of all the lies they are telling.&#160; With the election only ten days away, the barrage of lies is thicker than ever, and nowhere is there a more prolific liar than Willard Romney, who will say anything to get elected.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: right; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"27jeep\" border=\"0\" alt=\"27jeep\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/27jeep.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"311\" \/>Mitt Romney, attempting to bolster his case to Ohio voters, misinterpreted a story and passed on an outright lie at a rally in the swing state yesterday. Reacting to a Bloomberg News story about auto manufacturer Chrysler\u2019s plans to open a plant in China, Romney said at a rally in Defiance, Ohio that the company was \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/article\/20121026\/POLITICS01\/210260402\/1121\/AUTO01\/Romney--Chrysler-may-move-Jeep-production-to-China\" target=\"_blank\">thinking of moving all production to China<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>,\u201d and that he would prevent such action by fighting for \u201cevery good job in America\u201d:<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\u201c<span><strong>I saw a story today that one of the great manufacturers in this state, Jeep \u2014 now owned by the Italians \u2014 is thinking of moving all production to China<\/strong><\/span>,\u201d Romney said at a rally in Defiance, Ohio, home to a General Motors powertrain plant. \u201cI will fight for every good job in America. I\u2019m going to fight to make sure trade is fair, and if it\u2019s fair America will win.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Bloomberg News story, however, doesn\u2019t say that Chrysler plans to move \u201call production to China.\u201d Instead, it says that Fiat, which now owns Chrysler, is planning to open Chinese factories where it will make one of its most popular lines, Jeep, for Chinese consumers. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2012-10-21\/fiat-says-china-may-build-all-jeep-models-as-suv-demand-climbs.html\" target=\"_blank\">Chrysler isn\u2019t planning to shift production away from the United States<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>. Campaign co-chair and former New Hampshire Gov. Wilkerson was right that the Republican Party is full of racists, but he was wrong about one thing. We do know where Lord Willard stands.
